I agree with Lowry. He seems the most consistent as far as he will always play hard and push the ball. He is a good floor general and he added and three point game last season and of course he is a very good defender at his position.

But Kevin Martin's free throws and fast break three pointers are like layups.

Chuck Hayes. I say this because you always get what you expect from him, and he usually plays above his paygrade.

We're gonna miss him in Houston.

I'm torn between Scola and Martin personally. I love Lowry and the toughness he brings, but I don't see him as our best player.

Both Scola and Martin are below average defensively. And while they're supposedly our two best offensive players, when the game is on the line, Rick Adelman always put the ball in Lowry's hand.

Somestimes Martin isn't even on the court during the 4th quarter, let alone crunch time.

Hence why we need a legit star; a go to guy that we can hand the ball to @ crunch time.

Kevin Martin is completely incapable of scoring in 1vs1 situation.
Scola can be shut down by length and he has become mostly a pick and pop option

When Kyle Lowry is your best isolation option, you aren't going to win too many close games.

Gotta give it to Lowry on overall play, but on offense I'd give it to pumpfake.

Actually, Scola is the one more likely to be benched during crunch time. Martin and Lowry have similar 'crunch' stats according to 82games, but the edge is probably given to Martin statistically.

Lowry: http://www.82games.com/1011/10HOU2.HTM#clutch
Martin: http://www.82games.com/1011/10HOU7.HTM#clutch
Scola: http://www.82games.com/1011/10HOU15.HTM#clutch

And of course the ball is in Lowry's hands during the end of the game. He is our point guard and sets up the plays. Martin and Scola definitely benefit from that, but at the same time Lowry is benefiting from them being good offensive players. You can't leave either of them open, which gives Lowry more room to operate.

i agreed Martin disappear during crunch time
some time he didn't even try to touch the ball even once
but you know you rather have Martin take the last shot instead of Lowry
some time i feel Lowry over-dribbled the ball
Martin is better offensive player
Lowry is better overall player
i feel Martin is the best player

I would definitively rather have Lowry take the last shot than Martin...
Dont you remember all Lowry's huge shots at the end of games?

The Lakers doesn't give the ball to Fisher just because he's the PG. Rondo doesn't take the last shot for the Celtics either... they usually isolate Pierce at the top of the key.

The reason Adelman gives Lowry the basketball at the end of the shot clock is because neither Scola or Martin can dribble the basketball. Neither of them are capable of creating a shot off the dribble. Our two best offensive players can't make a basket in 1vs1 situation. We need a closer so bad.

I trust Lowry taking the final shot. Even with crunch time free throws, Martin is a 90% season FT shooter and will miss 2 in a row in crunch time. I trust in Lowry's clutchness.
