Now they're going to push hard to get Howard in exchange for Bynum.

Minnesota is supposed to be the kingmakers of the NBA. We only help teams in the East. We're trying to create balance between the two conferences, but you're ruining everything.

Well atleast we kept Kyle Lowry whom received the majority of the board's vote for best player on the Rockets.

We kept Lowry. We kept Patterson and we even managed to keep D-Mo. So its not that bad.

I still believe... sorta.

Not a bad a trade but I want to know how much money we would save. Plus why is everyone blaming Houston?

The trade them to NO not Houston. From what I read, our trade with NO is different.

i don't understand the hate for this trade. the rockets get a legitimate all-star for once (since Yao/T-Mac). there's no point in holding onto spare parts. Scola and Martin are nice players but non of whom are equal to Gasol. When you get the better player in a trade you should almost always do it.

As a Heat fan living in Houston I'll now have an excuse to go to some Rockets games. Too bad Miami's not coming here this season

I think Gasol needed to get out from the Lakers locker room after the drama with Bryant's wife and Gasol's girlfriend last year. As far as the rumor mill went, Bryant and Gasol were no longer speaking by the time the playoffs started. I guess the devil is in the details. Do the salaries match at all? What other spare parts are there ?

If Fisher goes to the bench, then things would still be okay. If Fisher goes to the Hornets or the Rockets as spare parts to fill out the trade, then the Lakers locker room will become a powder keg. Bryant will no longer have Fisher and Phil Jackson to talk him out of being Kobe the Malcontent.

You don't get Chris Paul to run the triangle. If I were to guess, Mike Brown is bringing a different offense altogether. This is even more upheavel in Laker Land. This has Buss jr's finger prints all over it, and IMHO, the Lakers brass got their karmic punishment by letting them get what they want. Lakers will have problems against teams who have size.

Why the hell did the owners squash that trade? Because it took on 10m? 330k out of each owner's pocket and they get back HUGE value for Paul and make the team more salable and they squash it?? Short-sighted nitwits!
