According to Houston Chronicle sources.

No word as of yet on Jordan Hill.

I think they will extend Hill.

I would of liked to keep Flynn, but oh well... and I least see Thabeet.

But its McHale and I trust him 100% with talent evaluation on Thabeet where as with Adelman i would of felt disappointed.

I'm disappointed that none of them stepped up, but like you said - I find myself trusting McHale's judgement. I really like the fact that he is giving PT to the guys working the hardest who deserve it. If these three have fallen so far out of the rotation then I can't imagine that they're ever going to do anything for us.

Well, that's one way to create $10.3M in expiring salary for next season!

how much do you guys see Dragic getting in FA? and do you think we'll match if he gets offered MLE? that would be more than what lowry is making i believe, but its still a bargain

If we don't extend Hill & Bud then that is an additional $3.7M off of the books.

We'd still have the following under contract for next year:

Lowry / Dragic
Martin / Lee
Parsons / Morris
Scola / Patterson

We also have a team option on Dalembert, so if that isn't picked up there's $7M more off of the books, and it will be $6.7M to exercise that option. I can see positives in either decision.

And we still have Motie to bring over, plus one (possibly two) draft picks in a deep class!

This is actually a pretty good situation we're going into.

Dragic should not get a full MLE. He is a backup and a spark of the bench. Whether it is for good or bad that is up to the basketball gods to decide.

One of those players will not be on this team at the end of the year. Hoping for both to be traded

OT- The weather is freaking nuts! (Houston)

I heard that the weather was crazy back home. I'm out of state right now and hoping that my place isn't flooded! When the storm hit a couple weeks ago I went and took pictures of Brays Bayou being so far over it's banks that it spilled onto 288.

As for moving Martin or Scola - I can see either happening; but part of me thinks that having one or both here will make the team look more complete to any potential free agents. Not saying who, but I do believe in Magic.

Well if D-Mo is as good as he is believed to be the Scola should be moved to get him his fair share of playing time. I like the idea of D-Mo and Pat battling it out for starting 4. Then there is also Morris. Rockets could go after O.J. because I don't think Memphis can afford to sign him. Martin I think should be moved. I just don't think he fits this team with its defensive personality. I just like Lee and not sure how deep the draft is with SG/SFs. One last thing I don't think any big name free agents will come to Houston in free agency so keeping both Martin and Scola just does not seem like a smart move

Lowry got 4/16 as a scrappy pg with no jumper, Dragic is more proven at this point than Lowry was at the time he got his contract. I can see a team like the lakers giving him the MLE easily

also you don't want to pay your backup more than your starter
Lowry is getting paid more than Brooks last season
when Brooks return from his injured without the extension
he lost his confidence and he was never the same again

Scola and Martin to Boston for Kevin Garnett?

one thing that we do not need to do is clear additional salary, so no thank you to moving Scola and/or Martin for a salary dump like Garnett.

Neither is a great player, but both are great components to really good teams. I see interest in both before the deadline that could result in a good player or picks. No need to consider something like Garnett or Ray Allen and their big, expiring deals.

i really mean for Garnett's expiring contract. if we're trying to be players in free agency.

Nicolas Batum?
Javale Mcgee?
Brook Lopez?
Roy Hibbert?

Rather have Jamison at least he is serviceable. Also Celtics are not to trade their expiring contracts since they think they can land a Howard in the off season.

Nicolas Batum? Yes
Javale Mcgee? not to sure about
Brook Lopez? Will be resigned and maybe but just don't like a 7 footer who can't average 6 boards a game
Roy Hibbert? Pacers will match any offer made
