Honestly this is a case of MANY gm's not seeing how good he was. Lin isn't a player thats going to show you how good he is in a workout or limited action because he's not great at anything. However, in a full game he shows how good he is.From high school on he's had to battle to prove himself on every level. A lot of gm's didn't expect this from him Morey wasn't the only one and it really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things because he wouldn't have played over Lowry or Dragic.

You know we play Dragic and Lowry together alot... he would of been beast we told him to cut Adrien instead...

OR

If that Gasol trade went through.... naw I really REALLY dislike Pau Gasol.

99% of the time gm rather keep the guaranteed contract instead of waiving them
even though they knew that guaranteed players will be sitting on the bench eating pop corn
reason is they think they can use them as salary filler for trade

Yea true... u think Lin blowing up is the reason Morey went ahead and signed Smith? Didnt want us to miss out on another guy?

only 2 preseason game and no summer league
from those two games
i actually like adrien more than smith
for salary filler
i though we got plenty of already and should have waive flynn or thabeet for lin
because i really like lowry+dragic backcourt and hope we can trade martin away

Yea I wanted to trade Martin, & Thabeet, and I like preseason when Lowry and Dragic played.

Im just tired of not know what to expected this team is so inconsistent.

I mean what are we gonna cheer for now? can't tank... can't really win in the playoffs... no one wants to come here.

If the team was just a lil more consistent, i'd say they were contenders.

It's only been a handful of games, I'm happy for Lin. He wouldn't have started over Lowry or thrived on this roster as a backup PG. Great pick up by the Knicks and mad props to Lin for seizing the opportunity when presented.

It'd be interesting to see how the Knicks will fare when Melo and Amare return to the lineup.

If there was not any injuries on the Knicks he would not have gotten any playing time

if not because of injured
Lowry never get the chance to start
also Landry, Patterson never get the chance to play
lot of player also given the opportunity
but most don't response well

mention lot of time
he wont play over Lowry and Dragic
not sure about other people on this board
but i clearly see Lin outplayed Flynn in the preseason
like always GM decided to keep the guaranteed contract
if you are paying the guy anyway
does it matter if he's sitting on the bench or somewhere else?
lot of GM hope to use that as salary filler or trade bait
but how many of those we actually use over the year?
we got plenty of salary filler this year (2009 lottery picks)
waiving him is create a spot for Dalember (we really need a center)
keeping Adrien had to do with Patterson not ready in the beginning of the season

Image the amount of sellouts. This was a huge marketing blunder.

Knicks will do everything in their power to resign him. He's the reason they won their last 5 games without the ballhoggers amare and carmelo. It's funny how they gave up their entire backcourt for amare and carmelo. And it turns out that the player who gets paid the vets minimum is the reason they're winning.

Knicks fan here.

Noticed a few of you are annoyed with your GM - to be truthful the Knicks got very lucky with Lin. I don't think D'Antoni rated him at all - all he got was garbage time and sometimes he looked average whilst others he looked awful, trying to do everything by himself.

At one point he was branded the worst Knicks player in history on our board

We were just so desperate for any sort of PG play, he got thrown in and has been incredible as you all well know.

He has pretty much single handedly saved our season from being an absolute disaster.
