Kevin Martin is unhappy with his role

From wiretap:

Kevin Martin had his first scoreless game as a starter in a 93-83 loss to the Grizzlies on Tuesday. Martin attempted three shots in just 19 minutes of action, but would not say that he should be more of a focal point of the offense.

“I don’t need plays for me to get going," Martin said. "I’ve been successful in my career just getting in the flow of the game. I’m over there chilling. It is what it is at the moment.”

Martin’s frustration was more about getting benched.

From what I've been seeing Martin is getting a lot of open shots but has either been passing on them or rushing them. I understand that he isn't "getting into the flow" of the games by seeing more time on the bench than usual, but that seems to be SOP for Kevin McHale.

Should he be playing Martin more, or stick with the hot-hand players?

****, I'm unhappy with K-Mart myself. I say, let him be the focal point though. He's the best scorer we have right now.

of all the sgs in the league (and maybe history), we have the one who goes for 28pts, 5-11 3s one game, then 0-3 and ZERO POINTS THE VERY NEXT GAME. :noway: :nonono:  :sigh:

its on both of them. i dunno whats wrong with martin. is he still sick? butt hurt about the gasol trade? cant "focus" because of the trade deadline? he needs to get his **** together and just play the game. dont over think your shots. if you're open shoot it

mchale needs to be more relaxed on his minutes. going with the hot hands is effective, but you have to play your starters even if they're slumping. they need to break out of the slump and its not gonna happen by playing them 15mpg.

McHale the Motivator... I'm really satisfied with our coach...

No complaints so far, which it fells like wasn't the case here on the boards with JVG & Adelman

usually the case when you have low expectation from the coach
another reason why i wanted Thibodeau over Adelman

Trade him to the Knicks for Landry Fields somehow. The Knicks are idiots and want more scoring.
