Insane stat on Parsons defense

And here's a statistic: on 55 isolation possessions, opponents are shooting just seven for 44 against Parsons. That would be good for 15.9 percent.

i'm usually not deep with stats but i just saw this on clutchfans. thats insane for a rookie, even more crazy with his short armspan

Why are good defenders such crappy free throw shooters? Chuck Hayes, Dwight Howard, Ben Wallace, Bruce Bowen, Dennis Rodman, Marcus Camby.

Not saying Parsons is at that level defensively but his FT shooting is bad like theirs. Makes it hard to keep them in at the end of the game without having to call time outs and swap players in and out.

Nobody knows him probably. I'm not surprised. He is deceptively athletic and hes tall good bball iq, so he can defend the opponent better. But he needs proactiv. There's always acne outbreak on his face.

maybe the acne is his secret weapon? it distracts his man just enough to miss.

Payton was a 73% career free throw shooter, not so good for a point guard.
Olajuwon was a 72% career free throw shooter.
Pippen was a 70% career free throw shooter.

3 great defenders. 3 mediocre foul shooters. Though Dream was clutch in end game situtations usually.

Kobe and Jordan both at 84%

Dream's career FT% is better than Shaquille O'Neal, Alonzo Mourning, Dikembe Mutombo, Vlade Divac, Mark Eaton, Mark West, Bill Walton, Rony Seikaly, Ralph Sampson, Pervis Ellison, Michael Cage, Olden Polynice, Greg Ostertag, Felton Spencer, Jon Koncak, Tim Duncan, Ben Wallace, Rick Mahorn

But his career FT% is worse than Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, Moses Malone, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Brad Daugherty, Kevin Duckworth, Bill Cartwright, Luc Longley, Robert Parish, Sam Perkins, Sam Bowie, Roy Tarpley, James Donaldson, Jack Sikma, Benoit Benjamin, Joe Barry Carroll, Rik Smits, Kevin Willis, Hot Rod Williams, Bill Laimbeer, Antoine Carr, Arvydas Sabonis, Shawn Kemp, Rasheed Wallace, LaSalle Thompson

Dream #224 out of 581. Yao 6th
Hakeem was good in the clutch usually. I only listed centers he played against.
