I'd take Meyers Leonard. Those who follow college/euro ball more closely might have other ideas.

I think we'll end up trading it this year.

If we would stay put at #14 and the listed players are left I think we'd go with John Henson.

Henson may be the best player out of all those players
but we got plenty of PF already (Scola, Patterson, D-Mo coming over)
so i'm going with Teague

Morey doesn't care about fit though. Best player available.

if morey has a realgm account then he can vote
he doesn't have 100% voting power here

 x is one of morey's die hard loyal supporters

me - "how about we trade for a backup center with size?"

x - "morey doesnt want big centers. he wants undersized pfs"

I'm not a die hard Morey supporter, although I do think that he is one of the best GMs in this league and gets too much flak at times.

I didn't read the OP post, so I was thinking this is about what the Rockets would do. Apparently it's not, so forget what I said.

Who should the Rockets select? Best player available, which I guess would be John Henson. :)

Can we pretend that Meyers Leonard is a BBG or is he just too non-BBG?

well he is white, that's a buzzkill :( . yall know i like my centers big and black, but he's also 7foot 250lbs, so that makes up for his skin color.

looking at his college stats, he avg 6rpg. best case is tiago splitter? is that the talent level for the mid first rounders?

splitter is late 1st round pick (28th to be exact, reason he fall because he wont be playing in the nba for couple of year)
morey drafted brooks at 26th
i remember some people here are very upset morey took brooks instead of splitter

look like most people like Leonard
i guess because we missed one last year and don't want to do it again this year
C - Leonard
PF - Scola
SF - Parsons
SG - ??????
PG - Dragic

can we trade Lee to Orlando for Redick?
then our team will look perfect in 50s

i dunno much about rookies, but judging from leonard's stats, why would he fall to the 14th pick?

he's 7ft 250lbs, nice avgs with 13ppg/8rpg/2bpg/58fg%/73ft% (i said before he's 6rpg, i was wrong. those are his defensive rpg, not total)

those are some good stats for a center in college basketball. he's a legit 7 footer. not those skinny ones at like 215lbs. he got some meat on those bones. if no one picks him and we still have our 14th pick, then either two things should happen to the rockets. we pick leonard and move on to the next order of business in the franchise, or we can pick someone else and let david stern ban the rockets from the nba forever.

Weaknesses: Will need to add more weight to be comfortable against NBA-caliber centers ... Lacks a real go-to move offensively, though he can do a number of different things well ... Inconsistent motor ... Has a habit of floating around the perimeter a little more than he should ... Can be turnover prone when attempting to put the ball on the floor ... Needs to continue to gain confidence and consistency.

When I think about the weaknesses in Leonards game I think of a javale mcgee type of player who likes to roam around the paint. Not good @ all but he's worth the risk...
