Interesting, I think they could get both if the Sac-Town deal goes through. If we had enough cap, we could have a big 3 of Deron/J-Smoove/Howard

Let's say that the Kings accept the 14+16+Lowry for #5+Tyreke...

The Rockets trade: #5+#18+Tyreke+Scola for Dwight

Then turn around and trade: Dally + 2013 first unprotected for Josh Smith

5.Dwight
4.Josh
3.Parsons
2.Lee
1.Dragic

Thoughts?

They will not trade a unprotected 2013 pick for Smith when Howard could walk. So could Smith but that is not all that important. I think they could look to keep Evens and trade 5/18/Martin/Patterson for Howard.

If they can move scola or Martin and the #18 pick for a top 10 pick, then do #5 and the other top 10 + Morris for dwight, and then Reke plus the other of Martin and Scola for Smith. Buy out Dally's contract, and sign Deron Williams. Resign Camby and Lee. Have Patterson and Montiejunas at the 4. Parsons and Smith at the 3. Lee and Williams would be our only guards, so we would have to adress that in FA as well.

The biggest thing everyone has to remember when it comes to ATL is they like the team they have now. So if we want to get smith it won't be easy. I'm sure they would get rid of him for the right offer but they don't WANT to get rid of him the same way the Kings WANT to get rid of reke....

me neither. Like I said before everyone talks about his shortcomings, but the fact still remains he is the best player on a team that went 40-26 last year....

lol yea he's gonna have to cut that fadeaway jumpshot ish out if we get him. I agree, they would be dominant on defense but on offense they would piss me off.

no that would be Kendrick Perkins and Serge Ibaka. wait didn't they just almost win a championship?

If Dwight keeps saying he will walk away from Houston if traded there. Why would any Rockets fan or GM mortgage the franchise on someone who will screw them in the end?

That is just insane. I wish other teams would do that though so he can ruin their franchises! But, I respect the Rockets and wouldn't want this to happen to you. It would suck it if happened to us.

perkins and ibaka know their limitation
perkins wont shoot 5 ft away from the basket
ibaka only shooting 18 footer he can made
smith can shoot the 3 but he's not that good and shoot too many
it will be horrible watching them shoot free throw

all that would have to be done is for Josh not to be at the 3 point line. it just kills me that our coach has an offense that requires Josh to set-up on the perimeter. but that is not Josh's fault. and as far as the free throws yeah Dwight is pretty bad at that but everything else he does more than makes up for it. and Josh isn't that bad of a free throw shooter. better than Perkins and about even with Ibaka

I guess it doesnt matter now since there are reports Deron still wont come here even if we have Dwight.

I don't think that smith should be considered an alternative to Howard. I think I would much rather have Smith. Especially when Howard isn't guaranteed to re-sign.

I like that morey is aggressively playing balls out though. I think he may have been given the hurry up by Alexander.

I think Rockets staff can really develop Smith and McHale could help his ball IQ too. Howard would develop post moves rapidly with McHale and Olajuwon around the corner.

Howard is likely to re-sign with Smith on board since they're childhood buddies. I think the whole point of getting Smith after we have Howard was for Howard to re-sign knowing his buddy is on the team.

if we dont get a superstar, which we prolly wont, then why not go an alternate route? by building a 2nd round playoff team. no one wants to go to houston. instead of tanking, we could make some noise by getting to the 2nd round two years straight. i'd rahter take this route, and try to get josh smith and iguodala
