Lowry is just as good as any point guard the team has been considering but he is on a much better contract. Lets show him some love to give him some motivation to get things fixed and stay a Rocket!

He carried this team on his damn back MANY games last season! Show your support!

Co-sign 100%! Why waste money, get a serviceable backup start lowry and develop the talent around him.

Whatever Dragic gets this offseason, Lowry will ask for more in 2014.

I don't think there's any other alternative at this point.

its '12... Worry about that **** next year and dont over pay a guy til '16. Last I checked we went on a 1-9 streak end of season, IDGAF!!!! No one on this roster deserves that much.

Dragic doesn't want to take a great offer, f*ck him keep Lowry, backed up by Boykins/Livingston or sign Sessions/Brooks as backups

BTW Who has the better year of the 3?
Lowry, Lin, or Dragic?

^ Really!?? Thats why this team aint going nowhere. Dragic is better than all these dudes. But im sure you'll be happy with another .500 season. Hey, look at it this way, we might at least move away from the yearly 14th pick. This team will suck enough to maybe move 4-6 draft spots. Joy!

It looks like Morey wasn't kidding about going after Jeremy Lin. It wasn't a smoke screen for Dragic. That tells me that he really wants to trade Lowry, who still has about $12m as a trading chip (i.e.: a fantastic trade asset considering how much players are enticing this off-season). It's unfortunate for Lowry because he has absolutely no control over the situation.

1-9 Final ten games, who was our starting PG in that time?
Dragic is no star, and he can't carry a team... you act like Lowry is a scrub.

Really sad... I guess Morey really values McHale's opinion.... UNLESS of course Lowry has seriously health issuses they discovered.

^ and ur putting the blame on Dragic!?? I mean, it was his fault we played Scola at Center in crunch time and had two real centers sit out right? Its his fault this offense was lost with McHales stupid pick and roll offense. Its his fault Morey has failed completely on his promise to make this team into a contender. Look at Deron Williams, I guess we can blame him on the Nets failures. Nash as well. Im not comparing Dragic to them, but u can't put the blame on him. He avg 16 and 8 in his starts this season and I think with a contender those numbers might improve. Im not saying Lowry is a scrub, but I think Dragic has more upside than him. And plus Lowry is crying his way out of Houston. Very comforting bringing back a disgruntled PG wouldn't you say. It doesnt matter anyway, this team is far from being close to contending. Good luck to Camby, Dragic, and Lee.

Maybe a blessing in disguise for a total rebuild if unable to sign any significant player. Ship lowry out for draft picks if he does not want to play under Mchale.
The clever thing will be to play the rookies and develop the young players in the coming season. If the team play well, good for them and morale, if not, get a high lottery pick.

i think you guys are a little confused. The last time I checked it was Kyle Lowery that went out on public and said that he cannot play for McHale and he wants to get traded. We gave him the opportunity here in Houston. He wants to leave.

and what $8 mil per year is suddenly too little for Dragic? Yeah I rooted for him but come on. He must read Realgm on his spare time because all this "potential" and "upside" talk is getting to his head. I'm a fan of Dragic and i think he will be a solid starting point guard but he does not have elite potential. He is not going to magically make the rockets that much better. Solid point guards are a dime a dozen and as the rockets have proven we have replaced them pretty easily.

im tired of rooting for these players that want out of houston. if they don't want to be here then be gone. tweet #dont let the door hit you onthewayout! How about we build with players that actually want to be here and help turn things around.

I second the motion. Except for Kevin Martin. Even if he want's to be here, I want him gone.

Great now even Parsons is getting jaded and cynical.

Lin will either make a fantastic backup to Lowry or a perfectly fine replacement. I don't care which. If we trade Lowry, I want something great back, and we'd get younger. If we don't, Lin and Lowry should be able to play together.

I really wish we'd gotten something for Dragic, but it's not the end of the world as we only gave up Brooks to get him. I think we can safely close out all the Dragic threads.

And *I'M* shaking my head this offseason.
This is not necessarily a reflection on Morey. I think he's just trying to make the best of a really bad situation. I don't like it, it sucks ass, but what can you do? Hopefully, he gets things straightened back out so he can resume wizarding.
Morey 2020.
