Rebounding His Own Miss(Morey).

The second N.B.A. executive to hastily misjudge Jeremy Lin was the first to publicly confess his sin.
“We should have kept @JLin7.” Those words popped into Twitter timelines on Feb. 9. They came from the keyboard of Daryl Morey, the Houston Rockets’ general manager and one of the league’s leading outside-the-box thinkers. There was more.
“Did not know he was this good,” Morey wrote. “Anyone who says they knew misleading U.”
General managers rarely admit their mistakes (at least, not in real time), and they even more rarely get the chance to rectify them. Morey did both, and shook up two N.B.A. franchises in the process.

I gotta say that's classy and he likely earned some credibility with players and fans for this move, IMO. Good article.

I felt he was always willing to admit his mistakes. Most notably when he smartly turned down resigning Artest and went for Ariza instead. Daryl immediately realized he gave Trevor a bad contract too and traded him for the cheaper (and superior) player in Courtney after only 1 season.

In that case, I'm waiting for him to come clean on why we drafted Marcus Morris.

Ouch. Remember the Good Book, though. Just for now:
"Judge slowly, o Israel! Beware, lest you look like a total butthole by the all-star break."It's in Proverbs.

Lmao... Proverbs?
Never the less, point received. I will take it under advisement.

I think another rebound is how he let Dragic/Lowry go and replaced them with Lin/Kneeboy/Mostly unprotected 1st from a crappy franchise, and Camby (top3 C in the league, but also 38) with 2 decent young prospects. He also replaced Scola with Asik, which we'll see how that works out, but which should do fine (32 vs. 26, 10m vs 8m, better rebounder/defender at this point). {More}.
Out of curiosity, has anyone ever tried to nickname Shaun Livingston "The Contortionist"?

It's been 5 (?) years and I still can't re-watch that video of him destroying his knee.
Gruesome.

I have watched it several times. In fact I will watch it again as soon as I hit submit.

Great. Now I'm having to decide between
"Judge slowly, o Israel! Beware, lest you look like a total butthole by the all-star break."
(It's in Proverbs.)
and Utah Jazz Prison Rape.
It doesn't help that the r'a'p'e is now censored from my sig... kinda kills the effect.

You'll always be able to depend on butthole. It's tight, man.
