Dwight, Bynum or the Rookies?

At this point who would you like most to see?
Dwight, the Undecided
Andrew, the Unpredictable
Or the Rookies (the Unproven)
Which way do the Rockets go?

Can u put what we would give up for Dwight and Bynum in this hypothetical? Cuz that has a lot to do with it for me
But I will take Bynum in a good deal over Dwight no matter what cuz I don't think theres any chance he will resign here..he will make enough money through endorsements as a superstar thaCt he doesn't need the extra year
Bynum will probably want that extra year
That being said if it isn't a good deal I would rather go rookie/rebuild/tank

1 - rookies
2 - bynum
not 3 - dwight howard and kevin martin
rockets were impressive in the summer league. 2 first rounders last draft, 3 this draft, and 2-3 next draft. we got lin who has potential to be a future all star, and asik can polish his skills. this has to be obvious. if there is a time for the rockets to build through the draft, THAT TIME IS NOW!!! and if there is a time to trade for a superstar, THAT TIME IS MOST DEFINITELY NOT NOW!!!

I would go with any of the big man.
Here is the reason why:
1. it takes time for big man to develope ( exception Roy Hibbert )
It took Chris Bosh 4 years to be good
It took Dwight also 4 years to develope offense. ( defense always there )
It took Andrew Bynum 5+ years
Bottom line is that big man takes more time to develop than guards.

How about Al Jefferson + the rookies?
Jefferson is in the same contract situation as Bynum and Howard (all 3 are UFA's next summer)
Utah has Favors and Kanter with team options next summer so they need to get a chance at center.
I think we can keep Lamb, White and Jones if we try to get Jefferson.
Kevin Martin + Marcus Morris + Greg Smith + the draft rights to Aldemir should be enough to get Big Al.
Martin would be the starter at shooting guard for Utah and would have a good chance of re-signing there.
SF: Gordon Hayward, Jeremy Evans, Marcus Morris
PF: Paul Millsap, Marvin Williams
C: Derrick Favors, Enes Kanter, Greg Smith
PG: Mo Williams, Earl Watson
SG: Kevin Martin , Alec Burks
Here's my 15 man Rockets roster for the season
SF: Chandler Parsons, Terrence Jones, Gary Forbes
PF: Donatas Motiejunas, Patrick Patterson, Royce White
C: Al Jefferson, Omer Asik, Josh Harrellson (Vipers)
PG: Jeremy Lin, Scott Machado, Toney Douglas
SG: Jeremy Lamb, Shaun Livingston, Zoran Dragic (Vipers)
5 rookies would probably make us the youngest team ever

Dwight (if healthy)
Rookies
No Bynum unless we flip him.
Without looking, Jefferson is probably too old to build around, though he's probably a nicer trade piece than Martin.

Al is only 11 months older than Dwight Howard. They both came into the league the same season out of high school.

anytime you have a chance to get the 2nd best player in the league....YOU DO IT! it's not like this opportunity comes around every year you know...i want to keep lamb, parsons though and let the magic pick either white or jones. that raps lottery pick is very good for them.

Either Dwight or stand pat... from the outside, Bynum's body looks like its ready to give. Runs awkward and has had multiple knee surgery's wearing a brace the past couple years... no thanks
But I would say... take a chance on Dwight over rookie rebuild.

Dwight had back surgery and back issues never leave. Remember Tmac and his effing back spams

It's kind of interesting. I think Dwight's defensive mechanisms are amongst the greatest, but he's hit his ceiling. What you see from Dwight right now is what you get, and although that's great Bynum's still 24 with a ceiling that can with proper training surpass that of Dwight's. And he's already the 2nd best center.
If we're going simply by us giving up a little less, WITH Bynum agreeing to an extension---I'd go with Bynum. He's not as mobile defensively, but offensively it's a whole other game, with the kind of efficiency he's got it's incredible. His FT% increased last season, while INCREASING in the playoffs. He's a solid rebounder, and with proper tooling can become an anchor on D.

They never disappear forever
Anyways what are the past knee surgeries that Bynum had?

I say we should go for Dwight as long as we dont have to give up anymore than 3-4 youngsters/picks.
If the Magic wants too much for Howard I have no problem with us going young. I really dont want Bynum unless we knew we could flip him for more than what we gave for him. I dont trust Bynum's knee's or his drive, especially as a #1 option. I dont really see what he could do here that he couldn't have with Kobe and Gasol in LA.

I think Bynum has had two surgeries one on each knee and another added meniscus tear in one of them.
Dwight had the surgery to replace the slipped disk in his back.
I just dont think Bynum is a 1st option, hell even with Dwight's problem he still had a better year.
This Rocket team is built to run, Howard would fit into that, Bynum would not.
