Rockets Sign Scott Machado

Saw this on state of the roster but it may be threadworthy by itself.
Machado received a lot of hype (well for an undrafted player) going into summer league. He had his sparks but largely underperformed. With that said I think Machado can develop into a legitimate backup PG. He is quick, a great ball handler and is a pass first type of player. This is a great signing, especially for the $. Machado will only get better as well.
The Houston Rockets will sign Scott Machado to a three-year, partially guaranteed contract.
Machado went undrafted in 2012 but participated on the Rockets' Summer League team after finishing his collegiate career at Iona.
Machado will be a backup to Jeremy Lin at point guard.

Machado, 22, played for Houston's Las Vegas Summer League Team, where he averaged 8.0 points, 5.6 assists and 2.2 steals per game. He spent four seasons at Iona, where he was named MAAC Player of the Year in 2012, but went undrafted in 2012.
