Am I right to assume Lin is your starting pg, Martin sg, and Asik center. Does that mean you have the 4 rookies in addition to Parsons competing for the starting forward spots?

And you would be wrong is because Parson is the starting sf

Why does 75% of this board not realize parsons is our starting sf and last year handled the job pretty damned well? He was arguably our 2nd best player last year
I have seen people put Morris and budinger(when we had him) in front of parsons for our projected lineups on the trades threads
And I get that he's tall, but why do people say he is a tweener...he is a 3 period
Rage tangent over....

Right?
Some idiot Bulls fan is trying to tell me he is a tweener, clearly never watching him play.

Parsons is a 3 because of his perimeter game. Just because you're closer to 7 ft than 6.5 doesn't make you a big (just ask Kevin Durant).
And that leaves the starting 4 the big question. Would probably be easier if one of them were in a trade package.

Yeah, I don't get it either.
I realize that not a lot of people watched the Rockets last season, but Parsons is clearly a SF and is clearly pencilled in as the starter.
Also, unless Motie just outplays the hell out of Patterson I think that it is a clear lock that Patterson starts at the 4.
PG - Lin
SG - Martin
SF - Parsons
PF - Patterson
C - Asik
Not exactly an unclear situation.

it shouldnt be hard to outplay patterson considering his averages was kinda low, 7,7 pts 4,5rbs. I think Motie can put up 10/5 pretty easely.

Lin, Martin, Parsons, Patterson, Asik.
Lamb, Jones, Moju, and White are probably locks to see a fair bit of court time off the bench. Delfino as well. Hopefully Lamb will develop at an accelerated rate, we give him the starting spot, and ship Martin off before the TD this year.
Morris will probably spend a bit of time in the D-League this year, same for Machado. Who does that leave? I really should stay more in touch during the offseason.
Douglas?
Fortson?
Livingston?

I think the only rookie who will almost certainly receive significant minute off the bench will be Lamb. When you have 3 PF rookie off the bench, its going to be difficult to predict playing time.
I will guarenteed you that atleast one of White, Jones, Motiejunas won't be in the rotation. Atleast one...
IMO from most likely to play to least likely
1.D-mo
2.Jones
3.White

Keep in mind Patterson didn't start last year. His numbers will look better with starters minutes.
That said at least one of the big rookies is going to have to get some playing time. Either D-Mo will get minutes at center backing up Asik or Patterson will play center while a rookie mans the four.

Lol are you insane? Donatas is better at 4 and he is good enough to start.

It won't happen but the starting five I want to see. Even if it is just one game is:
PG: Scott Machado
SG: Jeremy Lamb
SF: Terrence Jones
PF: Royce White
C: Donatas Motiejonus
Outside of the first year of the league has any team started five rookies?

PG: Lin/Machado : no brainer, those are only two PGs we have (Douglas is SG), when is the last time a team with two PG undrafted?
SG: Martin/Lamb/Delfino/Douglas : Douglas will be here for 3rd string PG just in case
SF: Parsons/Jones/Delfino
PF: Patterson/Motiejunas/White/Jones/Morris : this is tough one, we have 4 rookies (sort of Morris hardly play last year) and a 3rd year pro fighting for this spot
C: Asik/Patterson : i think Patterson is a better backup center than Motiejunas
that's 13 players
2 more spot for who?
don't be surprise Motiejunas will be stuck at the end of the bench or even D-League
i think Jones is going to kick all of them down
just like last year how Parsons stole Budingers' starting spot and kick Morris to D-League

take time to adjust eoro game into nba
some people can and some people can't
he looked pretty lost in his first preseason game
took scola about half season to get used to nba game
those can't usually left and go back to euro after 1-2 years

well look like Douglas is the backup pg
Jones is playing backup PF
Motiejunas is playing backup C
