The Youth Movement

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Sun Oct 28, 2012 6:21 pm

With the departure of Kevin Martin I believe that makes Carlos Delfino the oldest guy on the roster, and after him everyone seems to be 23-24 or younger.

Harden and Lin are 23, I think that Asik is 24. That's the vast majority of our committed salary for the next few years. Parsons will probably get a fair deal moving forward and I believe that he is 23 as well. Same age for Patterson.

Motie is 21. I believe that Jones & White are 21 as well.

Yeah, we are a young team. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rockets were the youngest team in the NBA.

Going to be fun to watch, but youth can have its disadvantages as well. I get the feeling that if we do make a consolidation move over the next couple of days then we may be looking for a bench veteran.

With the 14th pick in the 2013 NBA draft, the Houston Rockets select another loser out of the University of Nowhere.

Asik is 26, unfortunately. I do wish he was just 24.
Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

We will see what kind of inspired play James Harden will give your team now that he is away from two Olympians in Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook and will basically have to raise a group of young players and show them how to win...Lin should help.

I like your collection but you will have to thin it out a bit with all those position-less tweeners but I love the potential of your squad and they will be one of the teams I now watch on League Pass.

Terrance Jones is going to be a monster. If you get anything from Motienjunas and Asik look out! Loads of assets to make another deal or two with a smart GM in Morey with a vision to build a title contender in Houston...believe me you are blessed. Trust me. I am a Bucks fan. I know....

Bright future for your squad. It was smart to not part with Chandler Parsons too. I hated that you dumped Goran and you let Lowry go. Those were two studs with heart but I guess McHale did not get along with Kyle, but I liked the mojo between Goran and Chandler but Lin is a major upgrade.

Your backcourt alone is the most improved in the NBA and can be top 5. Lin and Harden will be awesome taking the pressure off each other and you have young legs to rebound block shots and defend. Great trade...for both teams.
