Good.

Let them all get regular minutes in a Rockets coached system. Looking forward to all of them coming right back up and breaking into the rotation!

Where can we watch the games? Do they air on TV? I have to say I may want to watch the D-League every bit as bad as the Rockets

There should be a free stream on NBA.com

The Rockets organization has probably been the most effective on the NBA in using the D-League as an effective tool. Many guys who went on to become contributors did stints down with the RGVV. Good team with a good system which actually gives these guys minutes on the court to develop. It's shortsighted to view a RGVV stint as some sort of bad thing.

Euroleague starting center doesn't mean jack when you still can perform at the highest level in the NBA. The D-league gives these athletes a good glimpse of what the real league is like. There's no doubt that this is a good opportunity for D-Mo to adapt and develop to the new system.

You have no damn idea what Euroleague is. D League is same as some kind of Finish basketball league. Have you heard before NBA stars saying that international basketball is more physical? Back there D-mo was playing big men and the game is not just stupid running and shooting, it is actually pushing puling and rebounding. So believe me D-mo saw what a real league is ... NBA is where he has to be.

He'll get his chance. No need to be hasty.

Rockets rookies doing stints with the RGVV is pretty much the norm. The only recent one I can think of who didn't spend time down there was Parsons, but that's because he clearly outplayed Budinger as a starter last season.

Houston currently will be taking looks at all of their young Power Forwards. Patterson, Jones & Morris seem to be getting the focus now. It's good for Motie, Machado and White to get regular playing time in our system rather than just ride the pine for a few months.

At least D-Mo will get to play and improve with minutes in the system.

I still think he needs to get stronger ( especially in his lower body ala Jordan Hill, Yao etc.) to succeed in the NBA.

I saw too many no name big men push him around sometimes, he couldn't get position in the post to use his excellent offensive game inside. It will also help his post defense and rebounding. Euroleague is tough and physical, but NBA bigs are much stronger, longer and athletic.

I think D-Mo with take at least 2-3 years to fully develop (unless he really hits the weights and gets his lower body really strong this year).

Pretty please. I wish differing basketball attributes between leagues were just a binary flip, but the style of play is different enough that you can't define one league by how another league is not. There are more than a few D-League players that have did well in the Euro League. Off the top of my head: Pops Mensah Bonsu, Sonny Weems, Omar Cook.

The D-League is designed to mirror the NBA in a multitude of ways:

1) Pace of the game. You get a similar distribution of possessions per game. Shot clock is 24 seconds.
2) You get the NBA paint, which is a rectangle instead of a trapezoid.
3) You get aspiring NBA refs calling the game. Different leagues have different tolerances for different types of fouls. Dmo gets use to the officiating, which is something that he seemed like he needed more help with.
4) You get the NBA 3 point line.
5) You get to play with players who went to American schools that are coached in the American game, using American lingo. You get to communicate with American coaches who have to nurture your growth and be more patient with you. The Vipers, who are a single affiliate/partner of the Houston Rockets, have staff catered especially for that.

The number 14th pick of last year, Marcus Morris, spent the whole year in D-League because there were people playing in front of him. Chuck Hayes spent many years toiling half a season away in the D-League, as did Jeremy Lin. With other teams it might be considered a demotion, but on this team, especially with this roster, playing time is a real scarcity. Our youth needs to be nurtured by playing time and real world experience. The status of being in the NBA or not has no bearing on their long term success.

Feignen reporting that Royce White skipped practice and last night's game.

I'm really hoping that this kid can get into some sort of comfort zone down there this season. Of the three rookies just assigned he's the one I least expect to see on the Rockets court this season. Motie & Machado will be back.

Not sure but this seems like it would be better for Royce with the longer days off and games in the same cities. Maybe he is upset in with himself since I have heard over and over that he is so grateful since the Rockets willingness to work with him but he can't deliver. Maybe he think he let them down

You missed my point. I'm not belittling the Euroleague. My point is that the NBA has a different style. It's not surprising to see prospects and highly established players from overseas to come to the U.S. and start from the D-league. It seems like Spolgar have put it more eloquently, so I won't get into the details.
