Asik the best offseason pickup???

Post#1 » by tha_rock220 » Fri Nov 16, 2012 2:50 am

He's the first legitimate big man the Rockets have had in three seasons, he's the first Rocket to average a double-double in four seasons, and Matt Bullard can't pronounce his name right(it sounds like he's saying "ahhhh ****".

Harden gives the Rockets someone dynamic, and Lin is a cash cow, but Asik has been the best pick up for the money in my opinion.

I dont know if hes a better pick up than Harden since most people agree that Harden is our best player. But i think Asik has a strong chance for MIP. Definitely a bargain signing at 8 million per. He's so consistent. HE knows what he can do and what he cant do. And he has 2 elite or near elite skill at the nba level.

Cant say that about the other 13 guys on the roster.

Asik is also the best rebounder in the league. MIP and the best off-season pick up, easy.

Yeah he's a virtual lock for MIP if he keeps up this pace.

he's the best big black guy type player we had snice yao. im glad we got a player that dominates the boards. hoping his blocks go up as he gets used to starter minutes. when he has a career game, and hasn't even played 35minutes, he should never be benched in crunch time. i cant let that one go sorry  , he wason his way to his first 20/20 . reminds me of dalembert and camby gettign benched end of last season in the 4th quarters

but yeah i'd say harden is our best offseason pickup. hopefully a 25/5/5 player as the season goes on, i'd say that's better than an elite defense/rebounding center.

I never wanna see Harden/Lin name in the same sentence as Omar "AHH SH*T"! until they show up every night like he does.

He is by far my fav offseason pick up so far, I love bigs.

He along with Lin, Parsons, Morris, 2Pat, & Jones are gonna make this a top 3 defensive team

I heard a report about him after the last game. The dude has put serious effort into improving his free throw shooting. He's out on the court before and after every game with a free throw routine.

He's basically doing a "muscle memory" type of workout. So far the results have been impressive.

No "Hack Asik" down here!

Asik and DJ are probably the two guys leading for MIP this year right now.

Rockets would be lost without Asik, Harden or no Harden.
