Current starting Point guard Jerrmy Lin is struggle with his jump shot (%35) and looks to be low confident in his shot.
Could Rocket team possibly benefit from giving Toni Douglas starting role while letting Jerrmy regain his confidence?

No, that would not be a good thing.
The Rockets are a "next year" team at this point. Let Lin find his groove with this very new roster.

Lin 36% shooting 26% from behind the arc - 4.8 rebounds, 6.9 assists 2.4 steals per 36 minutes
TD 27% shooting 25% from behind the arc - 2.6 reounbds, 4.6 assists 2.6 steals (higher turnovers at 2.9 and higher personal fouls at 4.3) per 36 minutes
Lin also average 1-2 blocks a game, TD has 0 this season
Also the difference is - Lin is slumping while getting closer and closer to playing a full 1/2 season of games and building on his shooting. A lot of his shots today were in and out ~ he looked a bit more confident - taking shots though there were still a few shots he just refused to take period.
While TD is NOT slumping, he is playing out of his mind compared to last year.

Or half-way point til we start seeing them really click!
The most noticeable point in the game vs the Laker was when Morris raised his hand on the transition, and Lin threw a lob that Morris was not prepared for. I think Lin was putting it up for an easy oops dunk that morris was unprepared for as he didn't speed up and jump.

no. he is terrible. he might have a few good games, but that doesn't take away from 90% of his other bad games.

Surefire way to help a player's confidence? Bench him. Sound logic.
For as sad as Lin has looked shooting the ball he still does everything else pretty well. Posts like these make me shake my head at the lack of basketball intelligence. There is more to basketball than scoring. Save these threads for that "other" Rockets msg board.

The Rockets would benefit from waiving Toney Douglas and signing a veteran pg as backup and locker room leader.
Someday Jeremy will get the flu or something, and you can see for yourself a game with Toney as starter. He can't run an offense, isn't that much better on defense than Jeremy, and has as broken of a shot as Jeremy.
I really can't believe people are comparing Toney Douglas and Jeremy Lin. Have you seen any Knicks games at all with Toney at the point?

If Lin is playing like he currently is, this time NEXT year, then I would be worried.
Coming back from knee surgery, on a new team, that is practically a new team, ( - Patterson, Morris, and Parsons!) cut him some slack. Chemistry in Basketball doesn't happen over night, (it took me 6 years to get a teammate to confidently throw me lobs in games!) and that is at a crap level of ball in Australia, (crap as in no where near Pro!!!!) so I am not expecting the Rox to have their act together in 3 - 4 months of playing with one another.
The problem we all have as fans, is that we are a "now" generation. It's like we are all Veruca Salt in Charlie and the Choclate factory....... "I want it now!" No patience we expect results straight away.
The way I see it, we will have ups and downs again as a franchise. I am tempted to put a bet on us coming 9th in the west again. But have a breakout season next year. And anything can happen up to the trade deadline.

The whole reason Linsanity started in the first place is because Toney was so bad. Regardless of how poor Lin plays, he's still levels above TD.

He's leading the League in free-throw shooting!
http://www.nba.com/statistics/index.htmlSeriously, I still think Lin should stay the starter, but Douglas has been contributing of late.
