Omer Asik - SLAP THAT BALL OUT THE WAY!

bend the spoon, bend the spoon

Omer Asik faces his next major test yet - after battling Gasol and D12, riding through the inferno that was the rebounding of the Chicago Bulls. Its time for TYSONNNNNNNNNNN CHANDLER! DING DING.

Chandler BANGin! aka BANGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Image
Image
He is the 1st horseman of clutch. (Harden and Lin also have this gene)
But besides his transition, his dunks, his inside game, his rebounds (PHENOMENAL), and his jamming 3pt shots. The guys a GAMER. I blame coaching for not maximizing his ability. 2 games ago he shot 80% from the field, yet we lost because the ball stopped going to him.

EIGHTY PERCENT. and was 4/5 from BEHIND THE ARC - AS WELL.
Image
Did you say 80% percent? YES 80FRICKINGPERCENT
8/10 from the field, 4/5 from beyond the arc - Versus the new NitroPowereD'antoni Lakers.
* Yet barely anyone is peeping about this in any Rocket site and in the NBA - NO ONE HAS A CLUE.

Patrick Patterson

Patrick Patterson - aka Pat2, aka 2PAT, aka PATPAT

WHY MUST YOU MAKE ME BI-POLAR!

You show off your skills that qualify you for the NBA - but.. sometimes...

2nd Unit!

Toney Douglas!!
Image
TD - til the NYK game - YOU ARE THE MFKING MAN.
Image
* Doesn't hit many shots but when he had to last night - he made one that counted!
* I rate that 3pt at a 10. It was gorgeous.

Image
Image
Image

Marcus Morris
Image
* This guy HUSTLES, he's got size and height, and is in pretty good shape - his HUSTLE and ability to shoot the 3, and beast it out for rebounds against ANYONE - hybrid - big man hybrid right herrrrrrr. Him and Greg Smith.. wooooo when they get seasoned enough - start expecting fireworks.

Terrence Jones

Screw pictures - Just use this for the rest of the season.
* You know your going to see more playtime for TJones ~ TJs proven with that alone - that he deserves to play. Confidence swag and gutsy attack.

Greg Smith
Image
* Energy and Hustle
* I'd post up a video of a dunk montage but there isn't one on youtube yet - the guy is a bad slamajama. This - in between blinks = lots of extra dunks. Great presence to have on the court even for limited minutes. He makes the most out of it!

OUT - Cole ALDRICH - ankle injury
Image

OUT -Carlos Delfino - Groin Injury
Image

Carlos has been playing phenomenally and brings a level of calmness with his veteran experience.
* Last word was 10 days, so it appears it was a mild injury - 2 weeks rest, gentle stretching.

The Knicks have just stumbled against the Mavs, although there are several concerns with officiating. Been seeing that with the Rockets all season. Its just how its going to be this season I think. Who will make the most mistakes? Will the Rockets run the oldest team into the ground? Will the Knicks control the pace and show experience trumpts youth?

Image

In the end this is just one of the many steps Lin will have to take to get his shot back, get his legs back under him, rebuild his confidence - and figure out his goals for this season and what he is willing to do to get there!
* Sampson has already benched him twice so far (the entire OT a few games ago)
* The 4th Q or most of it against the Bulls
* Will he do it again - versus the Knicks when Lin just might be the puzzle solver ?
* 5 bucks Kelvin Sampson doesn't consult with Lin to break-down how the Knicks defend and attack!
Image
Sampson was heard screaming Jeremy's name angrily several times over the air. As a defensive minded coach he's been leaning more and more to TD over and over.
* There is a possibility that Sampson starts TD - and/or a possibility Lin's minutes drop to less than 25 as Sampson continues to drop Lin's minutes.

Image
Lets not forget that the Rockets are a bunch of young, YOUNG - talented guys with LOTS of potential. Many have never played starter minutes til this year. It will be a process and I'd dare to say 2-3 months total before they really get their legs underneath them - as a team.

PS - If anyone like... ROCKMANSLIM - want to followup with a :

Harden (jenna shae) http://www.hoopsvibe.com/nba-news-and-r ... a-stripper

vs

JR Smith ( Tahiry )
http://blacksportsonline.com/home/2012/ ... up-photos/

And compare ASSets. Go for it.

LETS GO JLIN TURN IT ON! Don't get completely embarrassed against the Knicks!

you should be the one making the gamethreads. you improved your nsfw material, its on point! good job

the knicks with a melo that plays defense can be a contender. he always was capable of playding defense and he has, just not consistenly. might see him on harden throughout the game. and i expect to see cook getting some burn if melo goes off.

Can't speak for everyone, but I think that it way too early to be making absolute judgement calls one way or the other this early on with this young team.

GENERAL WARNING

For some reason, Jeremy Lin remains a lightning rod of controversy who seems to attract people who despise him for inexplicable reasons. Personally, I think that it is the hair.

As with all threads in this forum, we invite participation and discussion. All are welcome who conduct themselves within the terms of service of RealGM.

If you just want to come in to troll or insult people, then that is not welcome. Please don't act like a fool and all will be cool.

This is the one game Lin has to show up. For him, it's more than just aiming for the win. This is about showing his previous team what he's made of, and to shut up loudmouths like JR Smith. If Lin gets destroyed by Felton, it will absolutely crush his confidence; it will be embarrassing.

logically, both teams made the proper move.

Knicks - old team trying to win now, high value on steady PG play and low turnovers
Rockets - young team can give Lin time to grow with the team. Also were able to trade Lowry for 1st rd pick and add more young talent.

There is a massive chasm between "scrub" and "Steve Nash."

I don't know how Lin's career will pan out, but it is not exactly fair to say that if he does not reach Nash levels then he is a scrub.

Only a very small group of point guards in NBA history are on the level of Steve Nash.

It's kind of like saying that Asik is worthless because he doesn't match Olajuwon's numbers.

So, this is the youngest team vs. the oldest?

I imagine that the Knicks are going to feel like they have something to prove after the Dallas loss. Good test for our young guys. Hope to see Jones & Morris get good minutes and hope to see good coaching decisions from Sampson.

I like the Rockets. Love watching Asik, as well as Harden. I hope Lin finds his groove for you guys. Just not tonight.

Good luck, should be a fun game to see these players go at each other.

I want the Knicks to win but I hope Lin has a career night. It's sad, the rockets really have no idea how to use him. Still rooting for him.

Rockets please win the game. I hope Lin puts Fatton in his place and Harden proves he is a big time player.

Let's do it Rockets! There's one thing about the Rockets being so young and so many new players, you never know what's going to happen. Everyone's an x-factor on the team.

Lin can snap out of his funk any time. It may be today, it may be later. Time for him to play like he doesn't give a $#@! what others think and just go all out!
