Thanks for starting the game thread, rocketsballin!

As you know, I'm not allowed to for voodoo basketball reasons.

I'm always a little scared when my team is favored by 10 points. Let's not overlook the Wizards, instead, show some killer instinct and destroy their will! (as opposed the customary build up a lead, let it evaporate in the final minutes)

If there ever is a game to test out some new schemes, this early season game against a decimated team is it.

James Harden is so good its ridiculous. His ability to attack the basket and finish over multiple NBA defender is awe inspiring.


I think he's almost as good as Prime Mcgrady in Houston. Mcgrady had elite size so i give him that advantage. But Tmac was never the attacker that Harden is now.

comon now if Harden was McGrady level he would be a top 3 player.

Mcgrady's best year in Houston, his first, was 25.7/6.2/5.7. Harden is pretty close already on higher efficiency.

What made Mcgrady really good was his length and his elevation on his jumpshot. But he was never as good or as willing as Harden at attacking the basket.

If you think about it, Harden is as complete an offensive player as there are in the NBA. He can dribble penetrate into the paint and finish over NBA length. He can draw foul at a ridiculous rate. He can run the PnR as well as any guard. His 3pt shot is pure and he can even hit that off the dribble.

As he settles into his role as first option...remember he's still relatively new at this.... he's going to be able to develop that mid range game that superstars like Kobe, Jordan, Tmac were known for.

He has all world NBA guard skill already.(unlike that Joker Kevin Martin who was a fraud that pumpfaked his way into 20ppg )
