Toney Douglas in December (so far)...

Goran Dragic in December (starting PG - Phoenix)
12.8 points
3.0 rebounds
5.3 assists
1.8 steals
2.8 turnovers
42% from the field
69% from the free throw line
28% from 3-point range
Toney Douglas in December (backup PG - Houston)
14.0 points
2.2 rebounds
2.8 assists
1.6 steals
1.2 turnovers
49% from the field
75% from the line
53% from 3-point range
Those numbers make Toney Douglas one of the best backup PGs in the league so far during the month of December at least. This is the real Toney Douglas. Note the shooting accuracy. The instant offense. That's what you want in a backup PG. The Toney Douglas I know is the Toney Douglas who led the ACC in scoring during the regular season (22 ppg) and in the NCAA tournament (26 ppg). If Toney sees daylight, he generally makes the shot. He played injured the past two seasons and has a surgically repaired right (shooting) shoulder. Support Toney and he will continue his solid play of late. Not a flashy player, but very capable.

LOL. I never heard he was injured all of last year because he was honestly terrible. But he's playing well I got to admit. He's not really a PG by any stretch of the imagination but with Harden on the team he doesn't need to be.

lol what is that sposed to mean? if we bash toney he'll start playing like crap? lol jk
i never doubted toney as our backup pg. he did good in his first two years. after that went downhill. if he can play at the level he did in his rookie and sophmore year, then he'd be a solid backup pg and spot sg minutes.

LOL, welcome to the Rockets forum, DOF (Douglas-only fan).

Now you shall face the wrath of the DOH (Douglas-only haters).
Just kidding. Glad Douglas is doing better this month.

Toney played with a torn labrum in his right (shooting) shoulder which was surgically repaired in the summer of 2011.

Toney keep up the good work, you are definitely one of my favorite new posters here, and you're starting to grow on me as a player.

As a T-Mac groupie that followed him to the Knicks, I remember Toney Douglas being a good shooter during T-Mac's time there, converting lots of T-Mac passes into made jumpers. Looks like that version of Douglas has returned. Maybe last year's poor showing can be chalked up to the double shoulder surgery. I can't be sure though because I didn't follow his sophomore season (2010-11) with the Knicks. (No T-Mac no watch.

)

What's up Toney. Keep representing Jonesboro high school, tell your brother Harry I said what's up.
Seriously, I didn't know about your injury. Keep developing, stay consistent and you'll increasingly win fan loyalty for your hard work over time.

First we had Aaron Brooks and now Toney?
A buddy of mine who is a Knicks fan is actually more upset with how well Toney is playing instead of the loss of Lin.

NBA has a policy against using social media before and during games. Islander will probably post later tonight.

How did Aaron Brooks get away with it?
He must've gotten a million fines.
