I can't find anything on him, other than his denial to talk to two radio guys in Houston. He needs to be waived.

I feel really bad for you guys. I wanted the C's to draft White badly, but I'm happy we didn't end up with him. I feel like the league needs to intervene. Whatever the Rockets decide with White in terms of his playing future, the Rockets management will be made to look like the bad guys in the media. It's completely unfair. Even if the Lakers drafted Royce, I'd be pissed for them if he was pulling this same crap.

This goes far beyond mental illness. Royce White has chosen to be an armchair spokesperson for mental health rather than being a role model for others with mental health. Nothing Royce is doing right now is honorable, or right. I have asked him on twitter multiple times to clarify his indifference with the team, but he won't make anything public, and continues to basically call everyone uneducated that questions him, or anyone that asks for clarification.

I hope the league office is monitoring the situation. Royce is collecting checks for doing nothing and refusing to show up to his job. Even if he does ever turn up, players like KG, Reggie Evans and Kobe will eat him alive.

How's he going to travel to Minneapolis by bus in winter.... haha. He may end up stuck on the side of the road somewhere.

I guess White is coming back to the team next week.

Mark Berman @MarkBermanFox26

Rockets rookie forward Royce White says he'll begin working with a member of the team's staff next week at Toyota Center.

"Good question," McHale said, taking an extended pause to contemplate his answer. "I don't know. Royce has kind of been away from us."

...

"Should I QUIT playing (because of) a (hashtag) MentalHealth protocol isn't in place?" White tweeted. "OR should we PUT 1 in place."

When McHale was asked about White on Wednesday night before a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the coach reacted as if the swingman was one of the furthest things from his mind.

"He hasn't been around," McHale said. "I haven't seen him. As crazy as it sounds, you're just kind of going with the guys who are there."

According to wiretap, they've sent him to the d-league again. Hope he shows up this time.

I imagine their patience will be wearing thin if he doesn't show.

Royce White says he won't play for Rockets' D League team, citing "unsafe" atmosphere of team officials making mental health calls.

F*** this guy.....I wish we could cut him and not have the a**hole sue us

Seriously, I would think all the other players (especially the other rookies who spent time in the d league and are earning their pt) would hate this douche who is using his disorder to not go to the d league? I know I wouldn't respect this dude at all if he was my teammate

What I don't understand is that this isn't his first time playing basketball. I would like to know what made it safe when he was playing in Minnesota or Iowa, and why Rio Valley is unsafe. I would also like to know what professionals Iowa/Minnesota had that the Rockets don't have in Houston. I refuse to believe that this organization treats its players unfairly and that it doesn't have the personnel/facilities to accommodate players' needs. This is a solid organization, which is why I still support this team post T-Mac/Yao era.

This is very discouraging. We've had weeks of no news and now they're back to zero. I would like to think that Royce's neither a bum nor a fraud, but given his entitlement, his no shows, and this sudden dramatic "mood swing" just when the Rockets announced his D-league assignment, it's tough to say he's otherwise.

Patience may be need, but frankly I'm sick of these news. What angers me the most is that he certainly doesn't have to act like an internet tough guy and publicize his "Ghandi-like" thoughts on Twitter. At that level, you are supposed to mature up and act professionally. It's a 2-way street and Royce has not fulfilled any of his duties. Enough of this already. I hope they can settle or part ways soon.
