Who is going? Anyone from out of town making the trip?

I still haven't decided if I will or not, I always try and a make it down to a home game and I really wanna see the new screen. Last game I went to was April fools day vs Indy good seats too 123 row 15 at a good price...
If I do go i'll probably go to rook/soph game and maybe think about the main event. I'll pass on sat. UNLESS Olajuwon or Yao will be there.



So what Rockets do you hope to see at each event and do you think they get any awards?

Celebrity game:
Drexler & Kenny Smith might play, i really do think Drexler will and ex-Rocket turn musical genius Steve "finer things" Francis is probably a sure thing to play.
if Olajuwon plays again i'll be there.

Maybe TMac and Yao come over from China to run a lil in the game

Rook/Sophomore:
Parsons and Morris will be invited hopeful Smith gets an invite too.
All three of these guys are beast in games like these, unfortunately I see Morris drinking a lil too much and playing with a bad hangover...
If Smith gets in I fully expect 5 posters
White LBJ is a MVP candidate for this game, beast putbacks, beast passes, beast dunks, beast running the fastbreak, beast sound bites.

Other MVP candidates White LBJ has to defeat: Kyrie, Rubio, Lillard, Ross, Barnes, Manimal, T. Thompson


Saturday Night:
For the shooting stars our representative will probably be either White LBJ(he is social animal) or Harden, I get the feeling Parsons is gonna try and be everywhere.
Our legend will probably be... Kenny Smith... smh maybe Drexler I would be ecstatic if it was Yao/Dream

If its a retired Rocket who doesn't work for TNT it will most likely be Francis...

WNBA star no more Comets, so S. Swoopes.

Houston has no shot of winning this I feel like the Spurs team always wins this when they are in. Unless Dream is in then I have faith.

Skills Challenge
Lin will be our rep, I get the feel Lin won't want to do this, I guess there is a chance Harden could do it as Kobe, Bron, Wade(won 2x) have done it.

Curry is the frontrunner for this.

3pt shootout
Wollumbin is our best chance but not sure if he has enough attempts, Parsons/Harden are both in the top 20 at attempts but shoot 36%... which is what Love shot last year.
I really hope Toney gets a spot will get one spot but White LBJ/Harden might get the invite.

other invites Mayo, Love(champ), Melo, Pumpfake...smh, and Ryan Anderson, Curry...
Lots of ppl getting snubbed Novak for sure gets snubbed, so does Foye.
We actually might not get a participant from the Rockets

Harden is our only rep, and he does have a shot at MVP but then again Kobe will be playing and Kobe don't care bout helping the hometown guy get the MVP, Kobe hometown everywhere...

all-star game been unwatchable in the last few years
only good thing is see all the stars at the same time
unfortunately i don't care about them

Here the thing if you can only go to 1 or 2 homes games in a year, and that one game you attend ur team gets beat down your gonna be salty.

You go to AS weekend get to watch a couple hometeam legends(i've never seen Dream in person)... you don't even have to worry about your team playing like ish.


Not to mention the Rook/Soph game last year was pretty damn good.

i have talked to my dad about going with him...ya its been pretty lame recently, but i think it would be a lot more fun if you are actually there

plus there should be all kinds of cool events going on at the convention center and shiz like there was for the final four....should be a fun weekend

Just heard on the radio that Lebron and some high-profile musicians have rented the area on the northwest corner of Richmond & Fountainview and are setting up a temporary stucture in that large parking lot that they are calling "The Compound" which sounds like it's going to be a high-profile, non-stop party during the weekend.

What that tells me is avoid that area because the traffic is going to be hellacious!

this weekend should suck living right outside of downtown period

washington and midtown are going to be PACKED and cops should be out full force
