If it helps, Asik is your oldest starter at age 26.
Hopefully this is your growing pains, but I think being a borderline playoff team with a bunch of 23/24 year olds is probably a better situation than you feel at this point in time.

Draft picks are not given. It's a crap shoot. Look at the top picks of the past drafts. Some players have done well, some have bombed. Even if you look at the past few #1 picks:
Kyrie Irving, yeah he's a phenomenal player. But did he improve the Cavs win%? Not much (from .232 to .318 .244 winning %).
John Wall. He was touted as a surefire franchise player. The Wizards went from .317 to .280 .303 .216. They're worse after drafting Wall.
Blake Griffin. Yeah he improved the Clippers from .232 to .354 .390. But it wasn't until they signed Chris Paul that they jumped to .606 .775.
DRose. Bulls went from .402 to .500 .500. Then after adding Boozer, Bulls jumped to .756 .758.
Greg Oden. I don't need to go there.

i really believe they need to fire morey we are stuck in mediocrity.he has done nothing nothing he gets credit for being a great gm and i dont see any results none
this team is garbage and we are not getting better any time soon
fire morey aka the wizard fire mchale trade lin -wait thats impossible who wants to pay him 25 m
thats a good start to a new beginnig fire morey fire mchale trade lin away

OK, so if you fire him then who replaces him?
If you change direction then what do you do?
Morey isn't perfect, but he's made some very good moves over the years. One thing he deserves a lot of credit for is the fact that he's kept this team out of salary cap hell like so many other teams.
Would you prefer that the Rockets throw around big contracts to players who don't deserve it and would serve as an anchor in future dealings? I know that you probably will respond that Lin is such a contract, and that's a valid point of view. I just happen to disagree with it at this point.
But, all that said - who would you bring in as GM?

Interesting. Though I don't know much about Alex Kennedy being a consistent and reliable source, yet.

i thought the hiring of mchale and letting lowry, dragic, scola go is the beginning of tanking
but morey got harden
you guys said we are not going to draft one better
that's correct
chance is slim
at least he wont have the max contract
indy is basically us
but they are in the east
better chance to get in the playoff

Wow this is interesting, all things i did not know, good stuff
I mean who knew you needed more than one great player to win anything?
/sarcasm
Not like we don't already have one star... smh
At any rate Daryl Morey and the Houston Rockets are not the Cavs, Wizards, Clippers those franchise suck... the Bulls too at least for the 2000s. Morey's draft record speaks for itself.
Before the season started everyone knew this team was lottery bound even with Harden, i mean there is less talent on the team this year than there was last year... This is who we thought they were.
Like some Brits everybody needs to keep calm and carry on.
I don't wanna see any tard ass trades bring in Millisap or any other borderline star 4 that's gonna push us the the playoffs rather stay put get a high draft pick then trade everyone in the summer. Nothing wrong with that I have no interest in going back to 1st round exits.
