I was just curious what conclusions you've drawn about T-Rob since Morey stole him for very little. I know it's only been a few games, but I wanted to see what pros and cons y'all see in him thus far.

the last game i saw him walking to the court after a timeout, i was confused as to whot hat was. i thought anderson at first, but then i see its robinson. he looks like a sg lol

but anywah he's the 5th pick of a stacked draft. we should keep him. he runs the floor well. good defense, on and off the ball.

He can't play with Asik because he can't stretch the floor. So At the moment he's playing as a super small 5. He looks 6'7ish....

He brings alot of energy but imo not very skilled at the moment.
We've had rookies who couldn't see the floor for an entire year. Since he got minutes immediately he must be doing something right in practice.

Don't think we've really seen his jumpshot yet, but apparently it's trash...
He fast tho! real fast.

He is skilled. Short, but has enough lift to block shots. Unfortunately he can't coexist with asik, who happens to be Rockets' defensive anchor

a stretch 4 is a bit overrated. clips have blake and dre playing majority minutes at the 4/5 together. nuggets got faried, koufos, and javale.

we could at least try asik and robinson, see how it works. robinson's fast and athletic, offset asik slow and clogging the lane

IIRC, he's taken two jump-shots as a Rocket. One of them he banked in, and the other one he clanked today. He did have one nice baseline spin layup, but outside of that, he's only really scored on transition/easy sort finishes and making 1/2 FT's. I don't think his offense is all that good, but he's shown good defensive potential the last two games..

Since when is he 6'7''? Draftexpress has his pre-draft combine measurements as 6'7.75'' without shoes...aka the same height Kevin Love measured at. With shoes he's about 6'9''.

I like him so far. He needs a lot more polish on his game, such as improving his jumper, but he's lighting fast, aggressive, tough on D, great rebounder and excellent motor. He also has a nice touch around the rim and has a solid face up game with some key go-to moves.

He indeed looks like 6'8" on the court, he is actually over 6'9"
See this. Taller than James Johnson (6'9")

His first two games as a Rocket were hideous but now he is trying to show a little bit of what he can do. Something he flashes and shows some brilliance but other times he is disappointing. And props to McHale finishing a crucial game with him at the center position and Delfino at PF. I could not believe my eyes when watching the game.

I really love his energy, and I didn't realize he is also LIGHTNING fast for a power forward. He really is fun to watch. But he also needs to work on his jumper. He doesn't have to be Karl Malone or anything, but I notice when he faces up against the defense they just stand 2-3 back and let him shoot. It's very tough to beat a defender when they're sagging back and not respecting your shot.

why give him props? it was terrible coaching by him to keep Lin and Asik out for the 4th quarter. Beverley had 0 points and 7 assists. The passing is great, but if he cant score, Harden's job becomes a lot harder when playing with Bev. As for Robinson over Asik, that was just idiotic. Asik had dominated all game, yet nowhere to be found in crunch time.

definitely will be taller than 6'8" on the court
but some people just don't look tall

I was not being serious; terrible coaching, yes. But Beverley is very good.

I've been very surprised so far at the amount of playing time TRob has been getting so far. Not as a reflection of TRob as the player but that McHale would actually give significant minutes to such a new addition to the team, and indeed he looked completely lost out there his first two games.

But you can definitely see the potential. You know he'd be a good rebounded, but he looks better on defense than advertised (especially in terms of mobility), and something this team sorely needed. His offense looks abysmal though, and is obviously affecting our offensive flow. But he's a rookie and all he needs is to develop a consistent mid-range shot and he would start to look truly scary. We don't really much production from him in the post, which is usually one of the slowest developing things for young bigs.
