Geez, half the luxury tax has been between just Dallas and New York?
That's insane.
I'd have thought L.A. was more in the mix of top spenders.

You can tell exactly where all of Isiah Thomas's mistakes went away!

they're not as crazy as new york but still the the 4th highest in luxary tax. portland number 3, that surprised me. back in their jailblazer days, the players were so criminal that they even stole millions from their own team

lol
Looks like good business to be a team under the cap, iirc the teams under the cap split half of the luxury tax among each other.
2009 must of been a good year for Les and quite a few other owners.

Shamsports... what a great site.
LOL @ the Knicks. It's amazing how much money was wasted on Allan Houston, Antonio McDyess, Keith Van Horn, Charlie Ward, and Shandon Anderson (to name a few). Remember how bad Shandon Anderson was with the Rockets?
Speaking of Keith Van Horn, check this out. The guy basically robbed 5 teams in the NBA for 5 straight years. That's gotta be one of the greatest criminal records in professional sports.
2001-02 New Jersey Nets $10,865,250
2002-03 Philadelphia 76ers $12,072,500
2003-04 New York Knicks $13,279,750
2004-05 Milwaukee Bucks $14,487,000
2005-06 Dallas Mavericks $15,694,250
And I'm surprised no one has talked about the Spurs yet. 3 championships with only $12m luxury tax is beyond amazing to me. Easily the greatest franchise in the history of sports from a financial and business perspective. Yeah, that's boring.
