Congratulations to Paul George on winning the Most Improved Player for 2013. It was well deserved.
I would like to point out that three of the aging Houston Rockets ended up in the top ten for voting:

Clearly this old, decrepit bunch is going nowhere. Time to trade them all for some youth.
Sincerely,
Chuckles

I don't know if I'd have picked George, tbh. He was still a very good defensive player last year but he's just been more noticed this season because he's in a greater role (though I will concede I think his defense has improved even more). But offensively, he hasn't really taken much a leap at all, IMO. He's getting eight more minutes, and more shot attempts b/c of Granger's injury, and that's the only reason he's scoring more...otherwise his efficiency has declined to a point where he's just around league average (slightly below). And he's improved his assist #'s, but that's also come with a sizable increase in TO #''s.
Don't get me wrong, he's an all-star player. A solid passer, terrific rebounder, sensational defender, but he hasn't shown much more than being a decent scorer up to this point in his career. I mean 17 PPG in 38MPG on ~53 TS% doesn't scream tremendously improved compared to 12 PPG in 30 MPG on 55% TS.
IMO, someone like Sanders has shown more improvement. It's true his shot blocking rate hasn't really changed, but he's tremendously improved his offensive game, and his rebounding + defensive game this year. He was the Bucks best player...the only reason Bucks won games were because they were 12th in DRTG, and Sanders was the SOLE reason for that...
