Friendly Bucks fan here. You, Hawks & Mavs are hot right now b/c of Dwight so I imagine you are getting lots if trade proposals. I confess only minimal knowledge of your team (like it and your GM) so I apologize in advance if anything is way off.

Would you consider our 1st-#15 & Ayon for Parsons?

Sorry, but that's a pretty easy 'no" from the Rockets. Parsons is far too valuable to a team that needs to be careful with cap room. His production on the court far exceeds what he is being paid. I'd argue that he is the best bargain in the league.

The first round pick actually makes it worse for the Rockets. Not only do they lose their second best player, but now you add in the cap hold for the first round pick. It is counterproductive to what the Rockets want to do to add a cap hold. Besides, I think that this team is really sick of picking within that range.

edit - also just read that the Bucks picked up Ayon's option for 1.5 million, so that's even more salary that you're asking the Rockets to take on. Sorry, dude - this one's a no-go.

How about we take your no fly boy off your hands?

Ayon smith 15 for Parsons & White?

Ayon has good scoring skills - Smith is a scrub.

Still very, very bad for Houston. Even with taking #BeWell off of our hands you are still asking the Rockets to add to their salary cap line between adding Ayon, Ish Smith and the cap hit of that first round pick. That's just talking simple numbers - we aren't even addressing the fact that this, in no way, gives the Rockets anything in terms of real value when it comes to what Parsons gives them. After Harden he is probably the least likely Rocket to be traded.

Houston wasn't willing to part with him during the Harden negotiations. Ayon, a returning Ish Smith and another pick in that range of the draft isn't even getting a phone call returned.

the answer is still no, parsons has more value than the 15 pick or Henson or both

you should be thankful that Mr.E comment your trade proposal and not rocketsballin ....

Parsons alone is a worth the top 3 pick in a stacked draft at this point.

He's an nba level starter at a d-league post second 10 day contract price point. He is a double digit scorer that can start on just about any team that needs a small forward, and can bring passing, rebounding and really really good defense.

While Harden is the runaway best player on this team, between Asik, Parsons and Lin, there is no clear best 2nd player if you measure out over a 15 game stretch. He can literally do everything moderately well.

If you want Parsons, we want Larry Sanders, plus the 15th pick. And you have to take Royce White.

I'm sure that rocketsballin would have replied in a calm manner. :)

I'll risk a final offer
we may do a deal w/ Kings that gives us #7 - would you trade Parsons for #7?

Again, no.

I think that you may have missed a few key points about the Rockets this offseason. This team is trying to clear as much salary as possible in their pursuit of some free agents. Adding a First Round Pick in this year's draft is counterproductive to that goal. It puts extra salary on the Rockets. The Rockets do not seem to want to do that. If this team had missed the playoffs and kept their First Round Pick then I'm sure that Morey would be working the phones to get rid of it.

That said, you're still not seeing just how valuable Parsons is to this team. I'd argue that you make a #7 pick and hope that the player selected is as productive as Chandler Parsons. The fact that the Rockets have him on such a cheap deal is a godsend for a team that is in pursuit of major free agents.

Parsons is probably the most untouchable Rocket after James Harden.

Thank you Mr. E. for your calm explanation. You've got a pretty darn good team now. Good luck on your efforts to improve. I think you may have the best GM in NBA.

from an outsiders POV-
1. Harden
2. Asik
3. Parsons
4. Lin

you'll have more luck getting moody, attention-hog, inconsistent, oft-injured, oft-distracted billion dollar Dwight than you'd ever get close to having sanders. Nothing short of Harden would touch that.

Its great having players you really like? :D

good talking with you all. Go Rockets!

Watching Dwight's brand of basketball acumen is about as enjoyable as getting my dick slammed in a drawer while being drenched boiling hot oil.

I know I am of the minority here, but I'd rather have Larry Sanders :)

3 years younger, no injury history, significantly cheaper.

Dwight's a bit better and has a history of being much better, and Sanders is a total head case, but I don't think Sanders would be a bad option.

Other than the Sheed technical accrual tendencies, is he nuts like... say... a shooting guard that use to play for us? a point guard that use to play for us? a tweener forward I was kinda high on that went the number 2 pick a few years back kinda nuts?

I'm not really sure which way to angle his nuttiness. I honestly don't know.

Skip instead of Moochie. But otherwise yeah. I'm not sure which kind of crazy Sanders trends towards.

My original guess was Calvin Murphy, Rafer was third strictly for lack of options. Skip was crazy?

Remember he was accused of stabbing or slashing a guy with a knife in a NYC club

Completely forgot about that. All I remember is his occasional on-court kisscam antics.
