Francisco Garcia

While the Dwight move is not final it is looking like it is extremely likely, I'm curious about moves going forward.

The Rockets have a good track record of finding underused/misused guys and get them on good contracts. One of those guys this past season was Francisco Garcia who was just seen as a throw-in for the Patterson trade.

What do you think the chances are that the Rockets could entice him to come back? How much do you think that he'll get paid this offseason?

I'm thinking that his solid playoff performance may have priced him out of Houston's range, but is it possible?

“I like it here. They like me here. We’ll see what happens,” Garcia said. “You know how it is. This is a business. For me right now, it’s not about waiting. I’m happy here. I’ll go back, talk to my agent (Aaron Goodwin) and go from there. It is tough. You really don’t know what the future holds for you. I feel great here. I really enjoyed playing with these guys. That kind of makes it easy for me.

“Hey man, it was an honor to play for an organization like this. I enjoyed it every second I was here. Hopefully, I’ll be back next year. I really love the team and the coaches here"

Chandler will convince him. He's the Free Agent Whisperer

if he can play backup sg for a small contract we should go for it. but he cant be the backup pf at 190lbs. rockets fans overrated him cuz of the playoffs. durant still torched us. parsons focused mor eon scoring so he was our best defender to throw at star wing players. i dont think he can be a fulltime backup sf for a whole season at 190lbs.

Would love to get him back for the vet min. Not sure if he takes the money elsewhere but he's one of the 3&D guys we would need.

Great news. Love his contribution. 2.6 mill is a bargain for his service.

I was wondering what type of market he'd get...reportedly Knicks were interested. I'm really glad he's back, and we still have the over-the-cap exception to use.

Awesome. That's a bargain for a good "3 and D" guy.

well, this would suck, not sure how true this is:

Kevin Pelton: The Rockets couldn’t re-sign Carlos Delfino after waiving him, but had the option to bring Garcia back after declining his option. Twitter @kpelton

If it is true that it is a second year player option then that is highly unusual for Morey. I'm thinking that was given to him to get him to walk away from possibly more lucrative deals.

Just conjecture on my part. I don't have "multiple sources" on this.

(but if I did have "multiple sources" this is exactly what they'd tell me)
