Jeremy Lin recaps his last year with people in Taiwan
FAST FORWARD TO 1:06:20
He talks about everything! Before Harden, start of season, what people were saying etc ~ This may well be the best JLin video to hear what he was going through.

* If you have issues with his religious beliefs, don't click. If you do not. Enjoy! This is a great video. Really open conversation. You won't see NBA players just opening their guts and sharing their beliefs with others like this often - in front of that many people lol.

Converted this to Jeremy Lin Reloaded, the vid he just released 7/30 today with 300 views (freeeeeeesh) and counting. Source: his Facebook.
Decided to convert the mixtape thread and just update it to reflect the video he just released.
Added 7.25.13

Pure highlights 1st half is scoring 2nd half is passing

Above 7/18/13 update.

I actually really liked the song choice, although I usually listen to Metal, Trance, House, Dubstep etc. The video editing was sweet, not necessarily in a highlight fashion as much as I felt like I was seeing how fast the game-speed actually is with the perspectives I was being shown. Cool vid!
I don't know about you guys but it gets boring refreshing 4-5 select sites waiting for something new, scanning the Free Agent Tracker at the NBA site etc. CAN BASKETBALL START ALREADY?! FUAAAAAAAAAAARK.
didn't intentionally set out to find these vids but I found another one - I like.. though I think its probably more that it has linkin park.

What kind of season do you guys expect Lin to have next year? He's essentially become the 4th option now, and the critics always say he needs to be the first option or at least have the ball a majority of the time in order to be successful. Predictions?

A successful Lin season would be 12 ppg, 9 apg, 2topg. 45% fg, 38% 3-ptfg
So less points is fine if he can get assists up and turnovers down.

I just found a very, very comprehensive highlight video I've placed in the 1st post at the very top. Its 18 minutes nonstop highlights - nothing fancy, no music ~ just basketball.
Ball Don't Lie.
If you had any doubts, watch that video for 18 minutes straight ~

I'd toss out all the critic statements, and just look forward to what the team will become next season. The thing is they already started working on their team chemistry by meeting in LA and the teams going to change even more. Its time for Rocket fans to elevate their perspective, not many teams have so many upstanding leaders. This isn't a 1 person show or 2 person show. There are several leaders and several guys whom all are displaying a lot of poise early in their careers. ITS FRICKIN EXCITING.
The ball will find the hoop, we don't play sticky basketball in Houston.
It really just depends on match-ups and whose hot.
If Chandler Parsons has another 80% shooting percentage game, he should be the only person getting the ball for the most part lol. Do you realize no one in the NBA had his level of performance last year in that one 80% shooting game ( 4/5 beyond the arc and i forget what the numbers were inside but it was 80% as well ).
If Lin is slicing up the opposing team and thats all the other team's defense is giving us ~ then Lin needs to take it upon himself and drop 30-40-50 pts. We know he can drop 45 pts.
Same with Harden!!! Before the zealots lose their minds.
I like where the Rockets are going, I don't believe in pundits and rabid folks on any side of any aisle.
Ball Don't Lie ~ just let them develop and let the team grow and evolve.
PS Dwight Howard is going to love playing with the Rockets. The last thing they are is selfish.
All the critics and people trying to ascribe SELFISH attributes to these players. People have to ELEVATE their MINDS to grasp how the Rockets are going to the WCF and the NBA Finals!

As long as he can get his assists up and turnovers down, I'll be satisfied. If he can average 8-10 assists a game, I'll be THRILLED.
I think he'll have a more efficient season.

I've said it before, but I'm strongly in favor of keeping Lin.
I seriously don't understand how much hate he's getting, especially on CF.
He had surgery last off-season, and the offense changed to cater around Harden just 2-3 days before the season started. Our head coach missed a month of the season due to truly unfortunate circumstances, and Lin was facing his first season as a full-time starter. This is not even factoring mid-season trades, and adjusting to having to play more off the ball.
After that Spurs/Knicks game, he was able to regain his confidence and tremendously improved. He played a critical role on our team, and after the all-star break, he was doing 15/6 on 55-56% TS in only 32 MPG. That's terrific production, especially next to a ball dominant SG. It's equally more impressive he was the PG for a team that was 6th in ORTG. We were the youngest team in the NBA, and made the playoffs in the Western Conference. Our backcourt wasn't the problem, it was a myriad of other factors that went into why we had rough stretches and lost certain games (our rebounding and D went to the dumps with Asik on the bench, porous transition defense, and turnovers). His ability to break down the defense was a big part of our offense in terms of creating open three point shots. He also forced turnovers and was a good finisher in transition (it was actually more a problem when he decided to pass the ball on the fast-break). He even improved his defense to the point where I felt he was actually an above average team defender from the perimeter position.
And he's shown over the course of his young career that he has a strong work ethic, and shown tremendous improvement in his game. It's rare you see a player that was shooting 28% from three the first 1-2 months of the season, and finish the last 40 games of the year shooting 38-40% from distance on greater volume. I also think the addition of Dwight will improve him b/c of Dwight's prowess in the P&R game.
But because he got injured in the playoffs, and clearly wasn't healthy when he played...let's forget all those prior circumstances or road blocks, and let's forget his improvement and label him a scrub whose playoff play was indicative of his true level of play.
/end rant.

I used to be upset that dwight left but realized he wouldn't win in Orlando. we were handicapped by bad contracts and terrible trades. sure we could make it to the finals again but with the amount of $ owed to arenas etc. we were tied down. glad he has an opportunity to start fresh. still a little pissed off he didn't just make his mind up and not waive the ETO. delayed everything lol

If he hadn't you wouldn't have Vucevic, Affallo and Harkless.

While watching the video it showed 3 straight against the Spurs. I paused, opened a new tab and watched 13 in 30.

Yeah, I did hear an interesting take on the whole situation with Orlando. Where the organization basically guilted him into staying by bringing family, values, etc into the equation and piqued at his emotions and values and more or less caused him to stay longer.
Much like the pleading guy or girl - that begs their significant other not to break-up. But that in-fact just leads to extra year(s) of fighting and drama.
When it would have been best for the idiots to break-up the minute it popped into their minds.
Long.. break-ups tend to be the nastiest.

Updated this with a random video I came across. I was looking for footage on Lin's D - on Lebron where he blocked King James. Found the mix and even though it isn't HD it'll have to do ~ unless there is an HD version out there. Added it to post 1/page 1 - at the very top.
ps, also found a "don't stop believing" video of JLin -- i decided to put that at the very bottom of the original post. page1/post1

JLin just released a vid. So added it to the top. Renamed the thread - didn't feel like making a new thread.
