Now that we are past the LOL.

Greg Smith is in an awkward position. Multiple news reports are stating that the Rockets have picked up their 3rd Center. Multiple reports forget that Greg Smith is a Center as well. (That would make him bumped down to 4th string down from 2nd).

Some of you may be saying? WHATS GOING ON HERE?

Others may be thinking. I HAVE NO IDEA, NO CLUE, READ MY BODY LANGUAGE!?

and others just might be frustrated, mad, confused ~ just unable to put the dots together at this time. the tip of your no.2 pencil just snapped and you forgot the 25 cent pencil sharpener you twist with your hands.

greg was a pf forced to play center cuz we had no backup center. now he's gonna fight for minutes at the 4 with jones, dmo, and hopefully asik, and hopefully not garcia or parsons

This. Smith never had a long term future at C. He's not much of a rim protector.

I agree that Greg has a much higher aptitude for PF... But nice thread though. I actually lol'd.

Haha I just thought I'd write a comedy thread since we're all just waiting for the season to start. Great to see some earnest replies and know someone was amused haha.

Smith in a limited role is very good, he was super super efficient scoring, granted he only had one way to do it, but it's good to see a young player knowing his limitation and make the best of his strength.

I don't think they'll move him, he makes nothing, and you'll never find anyone making that little (not named Patrick Beverley) who's nearly that good. all he needs to do is lower the foul and he's really effective in limited role.

Also, I doubt Camby play much over him, Camby is a great defender, but he's also toast. he was hardly able to play last year on the Knicks. he played less minutes than Thomas Robinson did for us.

I like this kid alot so I hope they keep him around. His hustle is very valuable on the bench.

Very interesting presentation. Good job and thanks for the laugh.

I think Greg is a natural PF and very effective as one.

Rockets should keep him.
