The last one was very interesting. If that is something to go by then I hope people get good questions in before it is overwhelmed by comments from people complaining that he's not answering their questions (usually because the questions being asked he is not allowed to comment upon by NBA rules.

Morey has referred to his reddit sessions as "AMAA" or Ask Me (Almost) Anything. Some things he just can't talk about as an active GM. As we've seen this offseason, the League is not shy about fining him for even the slightest infractions!

McHale will be trying a lineup with Asik at C and Dwight at PF during training camp to see if it works

Morey speaking the same way I feel about all the Lin hate...

It is amazing to me that all the time I encounter people feeling negative about Jeremy's season with us. I have chalked this up to:
-- he started off slow, mostly do to getting 100% back from injury
-- very high, unrealistic expectations after his time in New York
-- had a rough ending in the playoffs, again due to injury
-- people generally remember starts & ends more than anything else
-- people generally compare things to their expectations when forming opinions versus look at the big picture
Last year was Jeremy's 1st full year in the league. Essentially his rookie year. If last season would have been his rookie year and he never would have played in New York, right now people would be appropriately talking about him incessantly as one of the top young rookie stars in the league. He was the starting point guard on a playoff team in West at age 24!!! Don't get me started on this. Too late...

- He also has so far talked about PF being wide open and expects a big year from TJones and/or DMo.
- Thinks Casspi is in a role now where he'll succeed. Likes his talent.

I was happy to see that they're going to try Howard at the 4 and Asik at the 5. At minimum, that would be a great lineup for the final few minutes in a game to protect a lead. I have confidence that Beverly-Harden-Parsons-Howard-Asik would be the best defensive unit in the game. Am curious to see how much it would negatively affect the offense.

There are some who believe Casspi can succeed as our stretch 4.

Frankly. I like his chance better than Dmo. I think Casspi has a breakout year.

Yeah, I wouldn't be too surprised. He has better size than Delfino. It depends on if he can consistently knock down the open looks he'll get. His corner three % has been pretty good even despite his awful overall #'s the past couple of seasons. And I remember during his rookie season, he was good at playing off the ball. If he really can run the floor, knock down corner 3's with good consistency/accuracy..and play with energy defensively, I think his role on this team will be large, whether it'd be starting or as a tweener forward off the bench.

Maybe its just offseason optimism but i like casspi's length and energy. If he can consistently knock down 3pt shot, hes going to have a huge role on this team.

Can he really shoot though?

Yeah, I'm looking forward to Casspi's role, and pretty much agree with the Lin assessment.
