What is your expectation from D12, statistically?

Last season with the Lakers, D12 attempted 11 shots per game. A lot of people thought he was not used properly by D'Antoni. With the Rockets, I think McHale should play inside out. The ball needs to be delivered inside to D12. I expect him to take at least 15 to 17 shot attempts per game.

22 ppg, 14 rpg, 3 bpg

Well your saying he sets or match career high in everything which I have my doubts.

With Dwight you never know, but I do feel that this team probably won't play inside out as much as the Orlando teams did, you don't go from the fastest pace team in the league to the slowest (which was what those Orlando teams were.) in one year..

theoretically they probably slow down a little bit but still largely run off the same offensive scheme as they did last year with the focus on transition / Dribble motion / pick and rolls, but also throw in more inside out plays from time to time to switch things up or when Dwight's really hot with his hook shot that day or when other team's bigs simply can't contain him.

My feeling is that his overall Per game line won't look too different from this year, but hides the fact that he's getting it done in lesser minutes / higher efficiency in general.

so I say 18 PPG / 13 RPG / 2 BPG 33 MPG but TS% goes way back up over .600 again.

I'm looking for 20 ppg, 14 rpg, 2.5 bpg, and a career high 2 apg.

I expect to see the monster beast Howard return to the court.

honestly if he keeps his block percentage high and his free throw percentage increases to 60-65% ill be happy.

But ideally 22-25 ppg 12-14 rbs 2.5- 3.5 blocks per game

maybe 2 assists

1.5 steals.

Those would be career highs in multiple categories... I think that's going to be tough on a team with a bunch of shooters.

I do agree about the FT%. Would be excellent to see that a strength this season. I'd like to see it at least get back to 60% instead of the 50% he's been rocking the last couple seasons.

Dwight has never reached those numbers in his career and considering Harden's usage, I think that may be a little high for him.

I feel that it is necessary for Dwight to get up to at least 60% FT%, if not 65%, for his own health. He can't continue to take a beating and remain effective for years to come. I would not mind Howard sitting out back to backs some in order to spend time working on his free throws. He really needs a better FT% if he's going to prove worthy of that max contract.

i think he has something to prove after what has happened the past 2 yrs and this summer...he will be an angry smiling guy beast on the court. It will be the H&H show coming to an arena near you!

Dwight hit 67% of his free throws as a rookie so there is hope.

Perhaps I'm being overly optimistic, but I think Dwight will thrive offensively w/ our team. McHale has already said he emphasized rim-runs, where Dwight would beat the defense, and get in position to get a high % shot. Despite Dwight's athleticism, he's not scored very much in transition over his career. I think you then pair him with Lin/Harden in pick and roll situations (with our shooting), and the occasional post ups, here and there...I think it'd be disappointing if he wasn't a 22+ sort PPG guy. Not in the sense that I'd be disappointed if he did less, b/c ultimately his defensive impact + catch and finish ability will drastically improve this team, but I think he can easily achieve that if we're playing the right way.

Dwight Howard Career Highs

PPG - 22.9 during 10/11 season
RPG - 14.5 during 11/12 season
BPG - 2.9 during 08/09 season
APG - 1.9 during 06/07 and 11/12 seasons
FT% - 67.1 during 04/05 season ** (below 60% all other seasons)
TS% - .630 during 09/10 season

While I think a faster pace will boost some of Howard's numbers, I wouldn't expect him to go well beyond his career highs. I think he'll be closer to his last season in Orlando (not his LAL season) which was 21/14/2 and I'd be plenty happy with that.

I definitely want to see the FT% back near 60% and to see a career high in assists.

yeah, the only thing I really absolutely want to see is him hitting at least well over 50% FT, everything else is only a matter of context
