It's considered post-padding now to just quote a post and say nothing. So I'm gonna cheat, and just simply say, this quote is 100% right. It's worth more than a +1.

Derrick Rose looking good in the high lights. On another note, how did Danny Granger look?

Xavier Henry looked really nice. He has more confidence on his drive.

Rose said he gained 5 inches on his vertical... and didn't play a game all last season.

left me a little confused.

Doesn't sound possible to me, either.

He has been working out his legs for a year now plus now. And I think what Max said makes since.

Well I'm going to take in some action tonight. First watching the Mem v Chi game and then I'll switch between the Kings v Warriors and Suns v Maccabi.

Jimmy Butler is good.

Can't wait to see Archie Goodwin and I really want to see what the Kings look like with Vasquez. He's going to change how the Kings play and in a positive way.

Had to wait forever for Archie to play since he's behind Dragic and Shannon Brown. But got to see Marcus Morris bomb some 3s and then Archie got his first points in the NBA.

Also Alex Len is tall

I just watched the Minny/Moscow game.

I've heard about Teodosic before when Morey allegedly expressed interest in bringing him over to the Rockets. This is the first time i've seen him play basketball.

Heard he had a serious injury but he loooked good to me coming off the bench.

What a player. He has a reputation as one of the best shooter and passer in the euro game. He certainly showed that this game. He shot the ball well obviously and racked up a great many assist but its his poise that impressed me. He plays like he knows he's one of the best not just in europe but the world.

And he's got great size to boot at 6'4. Jebus. I think when... if he comes over to the states and assimilates to the pace of the NBA he has a chance to be a top 10 PG.

Anybody know what his contract situation is like?

He tore Kevin Martin up, thats for sure. He slowed down in the second half, but was still pretty good. I don't think he will ever come over.

I watched the game too, Teodosic shot the ball great and was obviously the best player on that team. However, I'm going to compare him to Jose Calderon which received a $10 mil/year contract, but rarely on the list of top 10 pg.

That Calderon is not usually included on top 10 point guard lists is a joke. He's always been extremely good. I've never figured out how the guy can be almost as good as Steve Nash as far as offensive efficiency yet never be considered very good because his defense sucks. Kevin love wasn't considered a top power forward until two years ago in spite of the fact that he was awesome in every way but defense. Carmelo Anthony is considered awesome in spite of the fact that he can't shoot. I just don't get it.

Calderon can barely guard a paper bag.. I do agree he's a decent offensive player, but he's certainly not top 10.

Going by the first list I pulled off the interwebs
http://nba.si.com/2013/03/02/top-ten-po ... rick-rose/

I'd argue he could easily fit in around 9-10.
Neither Jrue nor Lawson are overly good.
Look at it this way, for his career, Calderon averaged 5% better TS% than the average point guard, while averaging .5 less TO36 and 4 more AP36 and marginally sub-average on rebounds and steals.
Unless his opponents are regularly abusing his paper bag defense to make up those massive differences (doubtful, given that overall defense tends to be more of a team function)

For comparison, last year, Jrue shot 1% TS LESS than the average point guard, rebounded and turned the ball over .5 per 36 more than the average point, passed the ball averagely, and stole the ball .3 better than the average point, yet he's considered a top ten point guard? He must have REALLY good defense to make up for everything that Calderon does that he doesn't, after allowing for Calderon's defensive deficiency of course.

Edit: Ok, ok, I take that back. HIS PREVIOUS performance would have put him potentially ahead of either of them.
I have no idea how good he'll be this year, given his 32edness.

Edit edit: Ok ok Lawson is pretty good (ENTIRELY on the strength of his TS%), but I'd still argue Jose's better. I had no IDEA Lawson had any 50/40 seasons to his credit, though!

I don't like Jrue much as a PG, but he's probably better than Calderon and I think Lawson clearly is.

I also take Wall, Rubio, Jennings, Walker and even Lin over Calderon as well.
