Pat Beverley out 10-14 days with torn muscle

Rockets guard Pat Beverley will be out for at least to 10 to 14 days to begin rehab on a partially torn muscle in his mid-section. Beverley’s injury, suffered in the first half of the season-opener on Wednesday, returns Jeremy Lin to the starting lineup with Aaron Brooks moving up as the primary backup at point guard.

Ouch!

Having torn muscles in my torso I know that he can't be feeling too great right now.

Hope he takes the time to heal well. We need him back, but not too early.

That must be really bad because I'm sure Beverley really wanted to start. Well, hope he gets back to 100% soon.

Meanwhile, next man up. Lin will be great too.

Anybody know what play Beverley got injured on? Did he collide with someone? Or just pull the muscle without contact?

as a Lin fan I am not happy about this for Bevs sake,

im not happy about this for the teams sake

and im not happy about this for Lins sake.... no doubt he will be hanging around the 3 point line, if he is in the starting line up...

why any Lin fan would want Lin to start, just for starting sake... is beyond me...

Lin 4th or 5th option... with a ton of 3 point shots... no thanks

lof's must be thrilled. rather not have bev out for 2 weeks, but w/e. basketball gods gotta punish us somehow, things are going too good for rockets

We knew that LOF were a strawman arguement anyway. It's like the boogieman.

There is no respectable Jeremy fan that would want Beverley injured.

But I bet there are some Westbrook fans that would use LOF tag to say some nasty stuff. Reminder that Clutchfaps did use the nickname Patrick "Grim Reaper" Beverley. And there were no sadfaces when Beverley slipped his feet under Evans during preseason.

And then one poster saying we are the most classless fans in the nba?? Id say here we are a fairly classy bunch (I don't post on clutchfans because one sports website message board is enough and I like it here so I can check on other teams and sports)

Guys here are reasonable fans, Mr. E is a cool mod.

However, When I do check clutchfaps for news, it gets ridiculous.

As for Beverley, most NBA fans don't know him, or only know him as the guy that took out Westbrook's knee.
