Motiejunas and Jones

Post#1 » by cold_cowboy » Tue Nov 5, 2013 3:23 pm

so when are you guys trading these players? it's obvious that they wont be getting any playing time this season, barring injuries of course. what's the point of keeping these two talented bigs if their sole purpose is to sit on the bench?

I like both these players. They have size and skill. However, a contending team usually play their veterans.

Hard to say what Morey will do. He probably look at guys like the matrix and see people as contracts.

morey wants to compete and at the same time have few players for development
jones has some upside but motiejunas just flat out suck

What happened to the ten man rotation McHale said he was going to use.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

motiejunas doesn't flat out suck.

i'm sure if morey and the rest of rockets front office believed that, they would have released him a long time ago. he was playing extremely well within his given minutes during the preseason.

keep chirping though.

I think most assume there will be an Asik and/or Lin trade and these players may be part of it or have time opened for them as a result. I think patience is important and I'm also guessing we'll see both of these guys a bit more on B2Bs.

I think one of Smith, Jones, or Motiejunas should get some more regular time.

He averaged 12 minutes per game in 44 last season.

I'm a big fan of Greg Smith as well, but if Jones isn't going to play at all, then trade him to Milwaukee as part of an Ersan Ilyasova deal.
