And yet McFail continues to put Lin on the bench for an offensive spark. Lin isn't a 1-on-1 scorer. He isn't anything like JR Smith. Lin's biggest asset is setting up this teammates. Why on hell does management think McFail can coach a championship team?

And the the Rockets were 0-4 in games Lin played in the playoffs last year 2-0 in games when Lin did not play last year. So yeah not sure what the point is

Beverley started in the first game of the season vs Charlotte which we won and he got hurt.

Having Howard and Asik on the court at the same time hurts us more than the Lin Bev thing. I think McHale is reaching back to the days of Parrish and McHale on the front line...except Howard and Asik ain't the same.

This thread can be about Beverley.

I think as long as Beverley plays with Lin and Harden on the floor at all times, he will continue to get assisted wide open shots. I don't think Beverley is scouted at all. Opponents will let our 4th offensive option dictate the result of games. If you're pragmatic about it, points scored by a team are fungible. I don't know how the young stars will look at it though.

On another topic, do you believe in rebounding PGs? Isn't that BS? When they're going for rebounds, they're not running back on defense. Also, it's usually the PGs thats lacking in fundamentals that end up rebounding. Like Kidd couldn't shoot early in his career. Now Rubio is getting rebounds too. But, I notice that his teammates are LETTING him get rebounds while they run back on defense. Adelman let Rubio pad his stats last night on rebounds when his triple double was within reach. The other players boxed out for him to get the defensive rebound. Rubio is shooting under 30% for the season.

Bev is not good as advertised. once he's in the scouting report he'll be exposed. what is his claim to fame really? last year's playoffs? yeah he did a good job on CP3 but CP3 was in foul trouble. Lillard tore him a new one. Kemba was having his way. I think it's just McFail stubbornness and incompetence that won't let him smell the flowers ditto with the TT.

Defenders don't get exposed. Offensive players who have an over reliance on a gimmick or one particular move get exposed.

Also players don't need to have "claims to fame", especially ones who are so young in their career. Beverley has been outstanding in the starting lineup and will likely continue to do so, and Lin has been great off the bench.

Rockets will likely win their next six games. Does the OP want to play the record game then or is he merely looking for something to grab ahold of?

^ of course D could be exposed. his high octane 'D' can be neutralized by setting the right picks or taking advantage of his lackadaisical style by baiting for his fouls. and don't tell he has earned the refs respect so far lol.

what outstanding? in the games 6&7 loses? dude can't shoot until the last game. don't tell me neutralized the foul-ridden CP3. or Nash who was not looking to score.

I'd be surprised if McHale didn't start Caspi instead of Asik today. He needs this win and they need to get off to a better start. Lin will remain on the bench because McHale prefers Bev's game.

My opinion is that Beverley is fine as a starter. But from what I'm seeing in games is that Beverley makes it difficult for James Harden to score in a half court offense. Beverley is not a playmaker and neither is anyone else on the FPS (fat people sex) line up.

Dwight can be guarded 1 on 1, he got called every time he lowered the shoulder so far this season. It's not the Shaq era anymore. Asik is a negative contributor on offense, you can pretty much zone both Asik and Howard with 1 guy.

So, you now have Parsons bearing that responsibility to create for Harden. But Parsons has that stupid pump fake that let defenders close the distance and can be guarded 1 on 1. He pump fakes because he can't create off the dribble, pump fake is his way to draw defenders.

The outcome of this is Harden shooting WAY BELOW his regular 3pt average, 368%(Yr 12-13) 265%(Yr 13-14). Right now, media is creating a lot of injuries to cover up the team's failures. I don't know the level of gullibility of Houston fans.

Beverley is the player he is advertised. A scrappy and pesky player with heart. But more importantly a cheap contract, and he's not Jeremy Lin. He is friendly with ISOHarden and plays defense on par (statistically) with Jeremy.

Houston fans will have a lot more ISOHarden to look forward to this season. My stupid optimistic self during the beginning of the season thought there might be more team ball instead of ISOBALL, fck my life.
