Omer Asik asking to be gone....this was inevitable, but hey, gotta be patient to see what offers are best for rockets.

Asik, who started every game after signing with the Rockets last season, came off the bench Wednesday in Philadelphia, but struggled. He played only four minutes and not at all in the second half. Asik has made his trade request within the past 48 hours, a person familiar with the conversations said.

It's too bad. I really believe he would've been worth his contract even with back-up minutes. From the limited time I've seen him (ex the TT pairing), he seems to have put some work in in the summer and improved on his FTs mechanics and even his post-ups.

What this means is our defensive woes from last year when Asik (and now Dwight) sits is going to continue, and probably we're going to see G.Smith as the back-up C once again.

Morey and McHale should have seen this coming... it's mainly their fault. We should have traded him earlier, but they tried to force him into a role he wasn't comfortable with. He's too good to be a backup

btw, bima thug from clutchfans said that the rockets for example purposes could trade asik(8mil) for LMA(15mil) straight up if they wanted to... no need to trade any other player...i was a bit surpised at the salary difference for straight up, but i trust him...guy knows his cap stuff...

Would you guys take Lowry/Amir Johnson/Jason Smith for Asik/Lin? Better fits and $8 mill. flexibility in the offseason.

you guys should consider adding motiejunas to that list, doesn't seem like he's getting the attention he deserves in houston.

Why isn't D-Mo getting a good look at PF? Terrence Jones has really been a glorified scrub so far at the 4 spot, and if we aren't going with Asik then what's wrong with trying out Motiejunas for 10-15 minutes a game?

TJ is doing alright at the 4. We should let him run.

IMO I don't know what we get for Judge. A quality Backup C and PF maybe?

Move D-Mo and Asik together.

Maybe Covington and Caanan get shipped also?

I can't see it happening before A/S break.

I hope this doesn't get ugly.

Tjones is doing just fine. His man D has been excellent and he's rebounding well. Rotation is a little off but thats to be expected for a young player.


As for Dmo. He doesn't do any ONE thing well. Tjones is an athletic freak, he helps us with his athleticism. Dmo has alot of tools but none of them sharp.
