We better kick some Celtic butt tonight! Then we can move to sole possession of 5th in the WC.

I see a blow out game.
I'm counting on the Celtics to make this game competitive and interesting.

MaHale needs to man up once again and seat any players down if any of them blow their assignment regardless of what their status might be.

pretty lethal bench. Lin+Garcia+Casspi+Asik. like the Lin+Fields+Novak+Chandler of the Linsanity heyday. :o

No doubt.
And don't forget Shumpert who played out of the world defense for the Knicks during that time.
Now his organization turn him into a scrub role.

i might be in the minority, but i like to see asik have more minutes than howard, but obviously, in critical parts of game where they need howard, then put him in for shot blocking and defense if the opposing team gets on a real offensive streak or whatever is warranted. asik is the guy that needs the minutes to get into a rhythm...i would like to see asik get 8-9 consecutive minutes when howard goes out barring any foul trouble...i dont see howard having a problem playing only 24-25min/game...keep him fresh for the playoffs.

This is a legit concern for this team and not something I like to see early. In fact, Morey was on the radio the other morning and highlighted the heavy minutes so he is aware.

McHale needs to remember that this is why the Rockets pay good bench players.

yea we paid 25M for our bench
Lin+Asik = 16.6M
the other 8 made up the rest

I really like the Rockets bench and think at least Brewer should be seeing more time.

I also don't agree about starting Asik. This team needs to go out, get an early lead and spread the minutes out more instead of McHale playing his top 8 forty minutes.

Free Dwight Bobbleheads to the first 3,000 (I think) to get there. Hoping I get there early enough

Let's see...

1.) Bradley will get into Harden's skin early. This will irritate Harden, and he will resort to going to Harden-ISO, and have a 4-17 game with an assortment of step back jumpers.
2.) Sullinger will kill us on the offensive glass. Does anyone remember what he did to us before he got injured last season in Boston? He's ballin right now too, and everyone is getting offensive boards against us. I wouldn't be surprised if he had like a 20/18 game against us..
3.) Olynyk is starting, and he's another one of those stretch bigs. He will have a career night against us.
4.) Jordan Crawford against our perimeter defense will look like a poor mans MJ. He is streaky as heck, but expect him to be ON tonight.
5.) As Max says, Ex-Rockets like to kill us. This time it's Courtney Lee's turn.
6.) Green is another one of those inconsistent players. He can go toe to toe with LeBron in a game or two like he did last season, or just be mediocre the next one. I would put betting money that he's more of the former than the latter tonight.
7.) Bass will be similar to Sullinger. He'll be able to offensive rebound against us. We'll give him the open mid ranger, and he'll knock down every single one of em.
8.) Faverani will own Dwight, double double with 4 blocks.
9.) With Bradley's pressuring defense, Rockets guards are guaranteed 18+ TOV's.
10.) With so many turnovers, Boston's team, especially Green will thrive in transition.
11.) Celtics will hack a Dwight. After what was a good night for Dwight at the FT line, he will go 3-10 in these situations, where Celtics will make a 12-3 run.
12.) In those close game, we'll go Harden iso, while Brad Stevens will run a play to perfection, hitting a three to send it into OT, where we ultimately lose.
13.) Lin will cool off with more regression to the mean, he already went 0-2 from three last game.
14.) Rockets tend to play down to their competition. They will underestimate this Celtics team, and come out flat. Celtics are 11th in DRTG. This is no joke. They have big bodies, and disruptive perimeter defenders.
15.) Though last game was OK, Parsons, Beverley, Casspi, and Harden will continue their %'s from behind the arc. And we'll chuck up a bunch of em tonight. And oh my god, Garcia will never make a shot ever it seems like..

I'm excited.
