Houston Rockets guard Jeremy Lin will miss two with a right knee sprain, the team announced Friday on its Twitter feed.

Lin, who was injured in the first quarter of Wednesday's game against the Atlanta Hawks after colliding with Paul Millsap, will be reevaluated after the two-week period.

Lin had started the last three games in place of James Harden, who has missed the last three games with a sore foot.

Wow two weeks with no Lin? I hope Brooks' leg/thigh bruise is OK. Bring up Isaiah Canaan!

Hope to see Harden back, especially with Lin down.

This is a must win.

Deron Williams did not make the trip to Houston, and will not go to Memphis either as he continues to battle his sprained ankle. He will be checked out again on Monday, according to the team.

Andrei Kirilenko and Jason Terry also didn't make the trip West with the team. They will be out another week with their respective injuries. Kirilenko hasn't played since Friday, November 8 in Washington.

So is Harden out or a game time decision? If it is a game time decision then I think he will play

better to lose now anyway for a better draft pick

When the Rockets played the Jags... and lost... what sport where they playing?

(Yeah, I know you are talking about the Texans. Before they played the Jags, a win wasn't going to mean anything. Mon - Sat, I am rooting for them to lose for the draft picks. But on Sundays I want them to WIN! So at this point in the season... either way, it doesn't tear me up)

Sucks about Lin. I think he has been doing well, just needs to cut down turnovers. The upside is that it looks like AB will see plenty of burn. And Cisco has a chance to step up. 3 x injuries to good players this early sucks.

rather the injuries come at the beginning of the season than right before playoff time.
Glad Garcia has finally woken up this season.

Maybe Brewer can get some time? I don't know if he's injured or what.

Let's see...

1.) No Lin/Harden means we'll get no real dribble penetration. And we won't shoot 55% to overcome that.
2.) The Nets right now are a laughing stock, they will play hard. KG will fire the Nets up with a fast start, and Pierce/JJ will rebound after having poor games last time around.
3.) Brooks will not do what he did last game, and will struggle with his perimeter shot. TJones also won't knock down 2 threes like he did the last game.
4.) Livingston will punish our smaller guards on offense. He's had some nice moments this season.
5.) Alan Anderson is either really bad, or really good. I'm expecting it to be the latter with how we leave guys open.
6.) We will absolutely be crushed on the boards. Evans, Blatche, or Plumlee, or all of em will grab a bunch of offensive rebounds.
7.) It's the Rockets, they're guaranteed 18+ turnovers tonight.
8.) Nets will score 30 points off those turnovers. Watch out for Tyshawn Taylor.
9.) Beverley will continue his streaky shooting, and Parsons will have one of those "broke shooting nights."
10.) Hack-a-Dwight will make it's return, and Howard will go 3-10 from the line.
11.) Dwight will also try to do too much, resulting in turnovers and failed post up attempts.
12.) I guarantee Teletovic will come in, and rain down a couple 3's as well.
13.) Garcia will return back to what he's done besides the first 4 games of the season and the last game. His bricks will hurt even more because of the minutes he'll receive.
14.) McHale will call a timeout when we're up double digits. And then the Nets will subsequently go on a 14-2 run which gives them the lead.
15.) Down by three, McHale will draw up a play that inevitably fails, and ends up in Dwight taking the three, and airballing. Game.

I'm excited.

i love the pessimism. We always seem to win when we are pessimistic post game. Just like the Wolves game. :D

I'm not that pessimistic this game. I feel like we are going to have an easy cruising game. This is one coach Mchale won't be outcoached by.

It's going to be a full of street balling without J. Lin suiting up tonight.
Hope he shows up at least at the game and gives instruction on where our scrubs supposed to be when the game gets tight.
If either Parson, Howard or Asik struggle then I see the Nets pulling off an upset.
