Rockets interested in Andrew Bynum?

See wiretap.
Would he actually help our team? If he is motivated i guess, but then the team chemistry is pretty good and he might bring some black clouds with his negative attitude.
But if we do sign him and move howard to PF it would probably make it overcrowded around the basket. But a motivated bynum is a beast for sure....Asik then has to be traded just to get us some better bench players.
Real Twintower!
Bynum (10ppg/8rbs)
Howard (18ppg/12rbs)
Parson (18ppg/5rbs)
Harden (23ppg/5apg)
Lin (14ppg/5apg)

This could be interesting.
Houston has a lot of options right now for things to do. Everyone who thinks that we are out and out desperate to get a "stretch 4" don't realize that there are other ways that this team can improve via trade or free agency.

you bring that very often, saying that almost everyrocketsfan wants a stretch 4 .. idk but i dont get that feeling at all
i see some fans want a new coach others an all star pointguard deron/rondo others an all star pf gasol, randolph, love, aldrige, others a wing defender others a 6th man type player others think we dont need to do any moves
i agree with you when you say the rockets have lots of options for things to do . i agree because we need alot of help everywhere coaching starting lineup bench
no way bynum and howard can play together at the same time is howard asik experiment part 2
as far as bynum goes i dont think it makes sense for us yes he could help us win some regular season games but we are not ready to go deep in the playoffs
i think the perfect team for bynum is the thunder,2nd heat , 3rd pacers 4th spurs
thank you

The HEAT are no longer interested in signing Bynum.

Nice. Don't care if he's a douche who doesn't care all that much. 1-year deal. No risk. BBG overload!

Sign Bynum. Trade Asik for Kyle Korver.

Let me clarify - I am talking about the general consensus of non-Rockets fans at RealGM. The conventional wisdom at this site (from non-Rockets fans) is that Houston is gung-ho for the first Ilyasova or Anderson who becomes available, no matter the price.

Bynum is a walking catastrophe right now.
The interesting thing is that I don't think Bynum wants starter minutes. I think he would be happy to back up Howard and play 15 minutes per game.
The question is, will he actually play hard when he's on the court? Will he listen to coaching, respect teammates, etc.?
There's no denying the huge amount of flexibility and depth a healthy Bynum would give us though, even at 75% of his prime.

"Prime"? He's only 26.
Pre-injury peak.
("moofs, you stupid nitpicking jackass")
Still, I agree.

I would love to add Bynum and trade Asik for Ilyasova.
A move for Dunleavy still makes sense as well.

We need the depth at C badly and it's such a low-risk buy it'd be stupid not to grab him if he wanted to play here.

Bynum would be a great solution to fill the 15 minutes when Howard is off the court.
Then we can trade Asik for depth at the SF so that Parsons can stop playing 40 minutes a game, a surefire way to get him perpetually injured (like T-Mac).

We should bring him in, it'll be funny. In times of great distress we can deploy the quadruple towers!
PG - Harden
SG - Donatas Montejiunas (for shooting)
SF - Dwight Howard
PF - Andrew Bynum
C - Omer Asik
