Obviously Houston are very young and talented and just need to keep adding to the core...will there be any cap space this summer? or just the MLE?

Casspi's contract is not guaranteed but I think they bring him back since it's only $1 million.
Even if they trade Asik for picks which I doubt any team will do, it won't give much relief since we are over the cap by about 5 million.
Plus there's the whole Parsons thing where he might be a restricted free agent and we'll have to match any offers. Hopefully no one tries to poison pill us like we did with Lin and Asik.

There will be a poison pill for Parson. He will probably get a better contract than Lin/Asik. If Morey plans to keep Parson then both Asik and Lin will be moved over the summer. It will be good for everyone. Save Rockets money and Asik/Lin can utilize their strengths on the other team(s)

Parsons cannot be "poison-pilled." Only restricted free agents with one or two years of NBA experience are under the Gilbert Arenas provision. Parsons will have had 3 yrs of experience this summer, so he will not be under the Gilbert Arenas salary restrictions.
So, while he could be a Restricted Free Agent if the Rockets choose to allow him to test free agency this summer, he cannot be presented with a contract like Lin's or Asik's.
Teams can still offer him an outrageous contract, and the Rockets may choose to match or not using his RFA status (if they choose to even allow him to be a FA this summer by not picking up his option). But those contract offers will not have that big jump between the first two years and 3rd year of the contract.
