Carmelo Anthony to Houston would be horrible

Even if the price was Asik and Lin, this is a bad trade as it screws up chemistry. Value wise its even but where the hell would everyone play? Jones and Parsons works JUST FINE. I'd only move Lin if re signing Parsons was a priority but if I am the Knicks I don't do this either because letting Melo walk would save cap space for me and if I am the Rockets, I don't screw up a possible contender on the rise. If you guys get Melo, it will go downhill from here.. It will be like a less effective big 3 than the one in Miami. It will not win championships and even if it did, they'd be throwing Chandler Parsons under the bus and even T Jones who is solid.
This will be a team killer.. mark my words.

im against it, dont need a big 3 to contend. plus it implies that rockets wasted a ton of money on dwight. he's not gettnig anyting less than 20mil/season for his contract. yall think the kobe contract was bad? lol...
rockets aren't that far from contending. a better head coach, a few better role players, and our 2 star players working like hell in the offseason, esp dwight

I don't think Melo fits with us either, but Jones still has a ways to go. We will lose to any team with a capable PF in the playoffs. Which is basically every team in the west.

Melo don't want to be in Houston unless Houston replace the head coach. McHale is not a championship caliber head coach. Despite all games Rockets has won, there is very few example if any where McHale has draw a pay and won the game. McHale realize on Harden too much and basically if there is a good defender lock down Harden, Rocket will loss the game.

Melo and Harden. The question is who will hog the ball more? I think Melo will win in the end and not sure if Harden will be ok with it.

Can't wait till Harden dribbles the ball with 2 seconds left and passes it to Melo.

or harden expecting the pass when melo jacks it up with 20 sec left on the shot clock.

I think you all are crazy. Melo would kill at the PF spot here offensively. Our defense would be **** though.

idk about melo but besides harden and some bench players who dont get playing time, everyone on the roster has a suspicious jumper. we need shooters

I wonder how Parsons feels about the fact that Houston has been going after Melo pretty hard.
I mean, that means he either rides the pine or he gets traded if Melo comes to Houston.

Either way...the fact that Houston is even considering Melo just shows that they don't give two **** about team chemistry and are just looking to get as many big names as possible.
Does Morey want to win championships or does he just want to sell tickets?

All of these reports seem to be coming from New York media guys.

All this Melo talk is giving me Scottie Pippen flashbacks. Remember when we got him and Charles and Hakeem were going to win multiple championships together.

Oy vey...little did we know how badly that would go.
I think that I'm right on the same page as you, man. I don't like this idea at all.

So the core would be the enhanced Knicks:
Dwight - enhanced Chandler
Melo - same
Haren - enhanced JR

Hmm, on one hand, it's sounds horrible because Melo and Harden are both ball dominant.
But then again, it seems that Morey's got a working iso strategy. And Melo's not that bad on defense.

Some people are saying that Morey is trying to emulate the big three of Miami. But, of all people, he should know that the reason why Miami works is because of the particular personalities on the team. Both Bosh and Wade have no problem letting Lebron be the man. And that works because Lebron is a good facilitator. Every guy knows their role. And all three guys are good/great defenders.
The problem with Harden, Howard and if they get Melo is that NO ONE will know their role, no way in HELL Melo NOR Harden defer to each other, and with Howard's beta mentality, he'll just end up sulking when his touches get reduced even more.
And think about the defense on the perimeter...it's bad enough already...with Melo and Harden out there...forget about it.

you are not them you do not know
btw ny post put up the story
they are well known for making up story
just because morey asking about melo availability doesn't mean he wants him
morey interview josh smith in the off season too
did he sign him or trade for him?
when you go for job interview
they interview you because they interested in hiring you but doesn't mean they will hire you
