The Houston Rockets agreed to sign Dexter Pittman while waiving Greg Smith.
Smith has missed most of the season due to a knee injury.
Pittman, who went to training camp with the Chicago Bulls and later signed a 10-day contract with the Atlanta Hawks, has averaged 11.3 points and 6.8 rebounds with the Austin Toros of the NBA D-League.

I'm sure he'll be back. He will be our new Aaron Brooks or Mike Harris.
ironically his best game as a Rocket was vs Dwight Howard and the Lakers last season.
Here's a repost of the image I made last year

The Bulls signed him today. His contract is guaranteed for next season. Can someone give me a breakdown of his game?

PF who runs the floor and is very good at finishing around the basket. He played some C for us but he's not really a shot blocker, but he's big and can body people up on the block. Bad FT shooter, and bad shooter in general.

As BayBaller says, runs the floor, good around the basket, fills the lane, good movement away from the ball, not an idiot when it comes to the pick and roll.
Got his career high playing against the Lakers:

He is athletic and strong. Check out some of his dunks from college:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7XnNr41WOQGood find as a 2nd stringer that can do some stuff off the ball offensively. He's a good postup man 2 man defender, but playing him face up will expose his lack of lateral quickness. Big. Soft. Frigging. Hands.

Sad to see him leave but happy to see him receive a great opportunity in Chicago.
All the best G Smith, hope to see you on the Rox again someday!

Oh well. Surprised a playoff team signed him.
Rockets should draft Patric Young anyway who is a great defensive 4 man to backup TJ and DMo
