Hi guys. Here in Slovenia there is a lot of talk that Zoran Dragić will join his brother in th NBA next season. He has a rather small buyout 500k and has just finished his best season ever. I know some of you already know him from SL, he improved his 3pt shoot and is still a great defender and an energy guy. Having watched Zoran for his whole career and more I can say that his style definitely fits NBA more than European style.
Here is the link to the article nothing special, just that among all teams Houston has shown most interest and that Zoran wants to make it in the NBA on his own talents and skills.

Hi!
Can't read but this is pretty intense:

We definitely need a capable backup wing who can shoot, slash and defend. But another turnover prone player?
So we are not talking about summer league or D-league here? I hope it pans out anyways. Would be real nice if he's deadeye from 3.
Mind telling us more about him?

Would probably be a bust on the Rockets, and end up great on a team like Spurs or Suns.
I think everyone watched him in SL because of his bro. Zamot wasn't so impressive then.

His 3pt shot still needs to improve, but the Dragic family has heart and work on their games to improve (you can see he has the same competitive fire). Goran greatly improved on his overseas numbers and I think Zoran will too.

Looks like another Casspi type player at the point guard position.
Would not work on our team unfortunately with Lin, Harden, Beverley, Daniels all ahead of him.

Zoran Dragić is not a PG and not similar to Casppi. He is more of a SG-SF as he is a bit bigger and stronger than his brother. Here is some pros and cons
Pro:
- Great energy, will always give you 100%
- fighter, goes after loose balls, rebounds, steals like his life depends on it
- Great defender who takes pride at guarding opposition best scorers
- Crafty like his brother, utilizes behind the back dribble, crossovers, fakes to get to the basket
- Great at driving to the basket and a lefty
- Improved 3pt shot
Cons:
- size, might be on a short side of SG-SF in the NBA
- lack of midrange game
- turnover prone, can get caught up trying to do to much
- FT, like his brother he is not a bad FT shooter but could improve
My NBA comparison at this point is PJ Tucker with better skills, but like someone mentioned he is still improving.
As far as the report goes I think it goes beyond SL or DL. As there is talk of a buyout 500k I think his goal is to make a team not SL.

A more skilled PJ Tucker would definitely be good, but PJ is 20 pounds heavier and can shoot the three. Zoran better can really shoot the three to help, "improved" doesn't exactly inspire confidence.

Only thing I remember about this guy is he was tough, real physical player. Like a bigger Bev, or Bob Sura with less handles would be a better comparison.
