I would definitely like Bosh next to Howard and Harden. I wasn't to crazy about their 1st pursuit of him, but now this would be the perfect team for him to be on.

I would definitely like Bosh next to Howard and Harden. I wasn't to crazy about their 1st pursuit of him, but now this would be the perfect team for him to be on.

I don't understand why the Rockets are enamored with Bosh. If he can't play with Lebron and be effective, (he was WORTHLESS in the Finals, why would he be any more impactful with James Harden?

The idea that the Rockets are offering 4/96 for this fraud is insane to me.

Kevin Love is right there for the Rockets. Sign and Trade Parsons to minny for a real player like Kevin Love.

Because Kevin Love's availability is questionable. and I think Morey really wants to secure a third star this year since they can go over the cap to re-sign Parsons as a RFA.

Not quite. I could be wrong but I believe to have the actual cap space, they would have to renounce the rights Parsons so there would be no cap hold. When you're an RFA, you receive a qualifying offer and it goes against the cap. Bird rights then disappear

The cap hold on the QO for RFAs is tiny. I'm talking about the ability to go over your cap to match offers your RFAs get. Right now all indications appear that Morey plans to get both a star FA and keep Parsons. He can't do that w/o going over the cap.

Ugh max contract for Bosh who was Never a max player. No where near as good as he once was. I would like to him but I was thinking he would have been cheaper than what has been said.

I would love to see how you guys praise him as the best PF in the league with his range, and defensive abilities next season if you got him. Yeah money is a little high, but he would be the perfect 4 next to Howard and would let you keep Parsons. You guys wont have any capspace after this year anyway to sign a max player.

He will space the floor, hold his own on the block,he won't let LMA to score 40 on you guys, will guard P&R almost perfectly and his rebounding will be covered by Howard. How much more you can ask?

Like I've always been saying. Morey doesn't care about winning. He cares about getting recognizable names on the roster so he could get people to buy tickets. It's all about money, and in that sense, he's doing his job.

I do feel bad for Houston fans, though...this team ain't never going to make any noise.

If the rumored 4/85.5 is correct for Bosh (not 4/96), then Parsons QO of $2,875,131 appears to be too large to be kept. Bosh would start at $20M on a 4/85.5 contract, and when you add in all of the minimum roster cap holds, Parsons doesn't quite make it.

The Rockets are likely going to need a S&T for Bosh in order to retain Parsons, their MLE and BAE, and anyone else they deem useful. Or they will try to do something a bit less than 4/85.5 for Bosh in order to keep Parsons.

Realistically Bosh is probably the best free agent for Houston. By signing Bosh that allows you to keep Parsons. If Houston got Melo, they lose Parsons and have Jones as their starting PF, and Im taking the combo of Parsons/Bosh over Melo/Jones. Bosh is the perfect fit for Houston and vice-versa.

Doesn't matter. In order to sign Bosh outright (no S&T), the Rockets must have cap space for his starting salary. In addition to needing to trade Lin and a few others, anyone with a cap hold would likely need to be renounced in order to clear sufficient cap space.

You also need to account for 12 players on the roster, and if there are less than that, the minimum salary for a rookie this season ($507,336) needs to be accounted for each open roster spot.

In addition, the full MLE and BAE are forfeited for any team that falls below the cap. They would be left with the Room MLE.

If Bosh to the Rockets is going to happen, look for the Rockets to try to offer a bit less than 4/85.5 in order to keep Parsons, or look for Morey to try and work a S&T deal with the Heat for Bosh.

maybe they have to trade TJones or DMo with Lin to free more cap

fill the rest of the team with minimum salary
that's how Morey did it after signing Howard

re-sign Casspi, Hamilton, Daniels with minimum

Once LeBron makes up his mind the dominoes will start falling quite quickly!
