The Leftovers

This FA season is feeling like the new HBO series.
Ed Davis anyone? Better defense than TJones. Probably won't cost too much. Still only 24 years old.
DJ Augustin? Or is Nick Johnson / Canaan our new backup for Beverley?

I think Nick Johnson is the real deal. The bigger issue imo is that Beverley really isn't that great. Would love to have Bledsoe as an upgrade.

Don't be surprise if Bledsoe is going to joint the Heat.

Morey could surely sign Bledsoe for 16m or less and then match on Parsons.

Question for those watching the show:
at the end of the last episode Jill (the daughter) interacted with the dog hunter, but it seemed like Amy (the friend whom Daddy was having the American Beauty dream about) not acknowledge him him at all.
Was that just a teen girl walking past the old guy, or is it possible that both the Sheriff & his daughter are seeing things?
Of course, there was the beer...
And I still can't believe that Jill is Andie MacDowell's daughter in real life!

Hmm good question about if the dog hunter guy is real. I think he is. Someone had to shoot that first dog. I liked the first episode better than the second. I don't know if I should invest in a supernatural based series from Damon Lindelof as I was really disappointed by the ending of Lost. Same goes for the new series premiering tonight The Strain since it's made by his Lost partner Carlton Cuse.

I seem to be one of the rare people who actually liked the Lost finale. Of course, by about the third season I watched the show under the impression that they had no idea what they were doing and were making it up as it went along.

Maybe the dog hunter is real, but there is something to that "now you're awake" line. Perhaps the Sheriff & Jill are "awake" and "see" him, but those who are not (like Amy) don't notice him.
I'm going to stick with the Leftovers for now, but we'll see how it shakes out. I wasn't aware of the Strain, tho. Are we now off of Zombies and onto killer viruses for TV shows?

By the way, seeing as how I technically hijacked and derailed your thread I won't take it personally if you report me.

Damn Lin disappears now Chandler. It really is like the show. Morey is a soulless bastard. Dragic Part II. Parsons is going to get Most Improved Player and 3rd team All NBA.
I need a hug from that Holy Wayne guy

I think DMO will ask to be traded. Beverley will either play the point and work on his 3s for at least a contract. Didn't quite have a "linsanity" moment last season but will try hard.
Casspi is gone, our SG/SF was loaded anyway so he wouldn't have gotten much playing time at the Rockets.
Jones is a great young player, he'll develop as long as he gets playing time. Surprised he didn't get a look in offseason.
Daniels still needs to prove himself as an NBA player, not just a D-league one.
Dragic is not going to come back because he's never going to get the same on-ball opportunity being on the Rockets as he's getting with the Suns. In fact it will be difficult for any guard to come to Houston with Harden still here.
Yeah, feel sad that our team has changed so much, that revolving door BS.

We lost a lot of depth, but 4 of our starters are returning.
Lin will be the easiest to replace imo, Ariza will provide better defense and is a better fit with his three point shooting in the playoffs (although the contract year player tag is justified so far).
We need some short term contracts to fill the void for this season on our bench. A veteran backup PG or wing, a veteran or defensive big. If the PG can play defense great, but you'll likely get what you pay for.
We need that PG or a guy off the bench who can be a passer or play-maker since we lost our 2nd an 3rd best passers after Harden by losing Parson and Lin.

But but...he earned his starting spot by being a better fit!
