because melo has 129 million reasons to stay in new york. and there's phil who i believe will make this team competitive again. easier in the east. too easy for phil, he should be paying otu of his own pockets its gonna be so easy for him

just face it, rockets are screwed. 3 rotation guys leaving for basically nothing in return /semi green adn red font

at least get deng to a 3year 30mil contract and we cna call it a week

Melo is an attention whore. He was trying to leverage Phil all this time for the supermax contract. At the end of the day, Melo will blame his wife Lala and say how much she loves it in NY and stay and take that HUGE salary.

Because like Bosh, Melo isn't worth a Max contract.

He's a cancer to the locker room.

need I go on?

I really can't believe the Rockets met with him for 6 hours. He probably never had any interest in coming here.

Get rid of Parsons. Just sign Ariza, Pierce and Jason Smith then call it a day!!

Yep. Melo is more interested in being the Top Dog than winning. He will stay in NY.

Definitely if they all sign two year deals with options in the 2nd year. That is my guess is what they are trying to do, finding people to take what would be one year

I agree, Morey is trying to sign short term deals ...he isn't going to foolishly spend the $, just cuz they have the money to do so. He won't financially strap Rockets with bad contracts.

Only if you're a rockets fan...and even that might not be true.

Look on the bright side. The rockets got ride of two cancers: Lin and Asik. Given how much they were disrupting the team's chemistry. I'd say that's a step in the right direction.

Now Harden is free to be the leader he's always shown himself to be. He'll also take the Rockets to higher levels than ever imagined possible by playing some of the stiffest lockdown D you've ever seen and only iso'ing when it's really necessary.

Let's not forget about Howard. With Asik gone, he'll be free of all distractions, which will free him up to hit his FTs and perfect his post moves that he's been developing over the years.

So Bosh said no..no big deal! You've got an emerging star in TJones at a much cheaper price too!

The Rockets are set for the next few years.

What purpose do LOF have for still posting here?

Are you really this obsessed with us if you have to continue trolling here even after your idol has finally been freed from our team?

And I won't fault him for that!

I will never fault someone for making the most that they can in the place that they want. Melo is a NY guy and he's making more money there than he could have here.

Where I disagree is that he thinks that he can't win there. I don't think that he's just cashing in a check. I do believe that the guy believes that he can create a winner up there.

Best of luck to Melo (whenever he isn't playing the Rockets, of course)

Naw..I'm just curious who you plan on throwing under the bus, now that Lin and Asik are gone.

Please bear in mind that the Rockets fans on this board pretty much liked both players.

I personally HATE seeing Asik go regardless of how it's spun and wish we had gotten more for trading a player of Lin's caliber.

The only problem with Asik out. Who is going to guard Aldridge when we play them again?
