Parsons was the Rockets player with the most seniority. He did well for himself being a humble 2nd round pick. Parsons will now be paid as a superstar Mavericks.

Good luck Chandler playing with Chandler

Parsons did a lot for the community. Giving that girl a limo for her prom. Shaving his head for that little kid. I'm really sad he's gone.

The thing that really hurts is that he went to DAL. :(

Gonna suck seeing him in a Mavs jersey.

Mr. E is a sad panda.

But life goes on! Congrats to Parsons on his pay day! We've watched him enough over the last few seasons to know that he deserves it!

Truthfully, I think Ariza is the better player anyway. But still, that's a tough loss for you guys. You guys need depth badly.

Les is a lying cheapskate. Bet he didn't want to go over the tax threshold ($76 million)

Who would for Parsons? Knicks couldn't do it for Lin, who they desperately needed and they had more money.

I hope Parsons does well at Mavericks with Dirk and Tyson, that's a pretty formidable lineup already compared to Harden, Howard and Jones/Ariza. No doubt Parsons will be guarding Harden which should be fun to watch :D

Well then he shouldn't say "we're going to keep him" to the fans. Straight up lie.
And to Mark Cuban of all people.

I'm not getting the doom & gloom from some Rockets fans. The original plan didn't work out, so now it's off to a new course of action. I'm kind of eager to see what happens next.

Come on now don't be so salty, Les wasn't the one with the cards Morey was. Neither expected the market to pick up Parsons just like the Knicks didn't expect Houston to pick up Lin PLUS kill them with the poison pill.

Well I said if he somehow got over 12 per I would not match and the Rockets should not match. And here he got max which is effing crazy and I wanted them to match it. In large part it was because it is Dallas. So they did what they should not have done and passed

Les is Morey's boss. He has final say. Surely they've talked the past 3 days.

Well, CF wrote an article on reasons not to match and the fans there mirrored that sentiment by voting 80% to not match.

I'm a sentimental guy and always support the underdog players. So, I wanted to witness Parsons rise to stardom.

The writing was on the wall when McHale stayed as coach. In the end, the management didn't have faith in Harden, Howard, Parsons big 3. Les always talks about spending, but he never does actually spend. It's strange how the franchise choose to take on risks.

Oh well, I still get to watch Ariza 2.0.

Morey is the one who has to do the work, Les is just his banker. Les only tells him I have the money for this or that guy. Maybe Les was okay if it was Lebron or Melo for Parsons plus tax penalties but that never happened did it? And even if Bosh made the team with Parsons still on it we'll be overpaying for years PLUS overhead taxes while making WCF at best. Even the richest owners in the NBA aren't that stupid....okay most of them.

Sad sad news, but business is business. I liked the idea of matching Parsons for a possible sign and trade. Mavs have no real asset so I was speculating for a 3-way deal or some sort. I wish Parsons the very best and be able to produce numbers, but hopefully the Mavs will finish near the bottom of the division.

Sucks to see good guys like Parsons and Lin go to disgusting teams like the Mavs or the Lakers.

Big loss for the Rockets, gonna miss him a lot, especially since going to the Mavs.

Can't blame him one bit. Business is business and it goes both ways.
Morey took a risk and Cuban took advantage. I'm sure the 2 rivals will continue to go at it for years to come.
