Post#1 » by Hawk Eye » Wed Jul 23, 2014 3:01 am

Hey guys, hawks fan stopping by. Just curious to see what you guys would be willing to give up for Paul Milsap? Also curious to see where you gauge his value. From Hawks stand point I'll let you know what were interested in..

-montijunas
-draft picks
-that Aprox. 8 mil TPE
-not sure of what else at the moment

Anyways, looking forward to reading y'all's thoughts/comments

Good player but he' a UFA next summer so that hurts his value in a trade

You guys are a legitimate contender though, so I gotta figure there's a good chance he re-signs. But of course you never truly know.

I could live with Milsap for Motie and the TPE. I don't know if that qualifies as a valid trade or not.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

Even as a UFA next year he's worth more than that...also motie is our backup center right now other than Dorsey of course

God I want him, though. I love milsap

If we gave up motie then we better somehow find a backup center because I can't watch Dorsey and jones play backup center....had enough of watching patty p try as center

I want to see what you would expect in an offer though Prestonmatt

I'm not sure where to begin the framework for a hypothetical trade deal to be honest. I know montijunas has been killing in it SL. I also believe he'd be a great for us in our offense. What draft picks do you guys own from 2015-2017?

Just a TPE to take his salary off the hawk's hand if that is what they want to pursue another player...sure.

OR

Milsap plus a pick for DMO and Gee

Oh no no no. We aren't looking to move him just for the purpose of dumping salary. We definitely would need some value for him.

Pretty much anything short of Harden and Howard the Rockets should cough up for Millsap at this point.

Terrence Jones + Pelican Picks + extra 2nds + Donatas or Clint Capela , EVERYTHING.

It would have been a lot easier to work in a trade before all this though, simply Asik + jones + Pelican picks and extra 2nd would be a King's ransom and also actually help both team tremendously.

Asking for 2 prospects is too much. If you're gonna try and nab both TJones and DMo, you gotta at least let the Rockets keep their picks.

nah...not happening when milsap is expiring and will get a bigger contract next year or he could bolt...Rockets will never give up anything close to that knowing milsap will get a better deal especially with the cap increasing as a whole....

Yea if you guys still had Asik he would definitely be in the deal. We wanted him to put at our 5 so we could slide Horford to the 4.

I wish we had traded Asik to the Hawks instead of a division/conference rival.

Any interest in our Euro assets: Papanikalaou and Llull?

I don't think llull is ever going to come over to the NBA.
