He should be with RGV most of the year, hopefully he is good enough to crack the rotation this year.

We have 15 guys on team now, read on rotoworld Ray Allen was deciding between Hou/Cle i don't know who else we are going for. Adrien/Dorsey are our centers I guess I still really want Okafor they are too damn short... I guess Chuckwagon didn't need much height.

Capela projects to be a center. He may have to bulk up some but he's not skilled enough to play PF. Either way, he'll likely spend most of the season with the Vipers, so it really doesn't matter.

As of right Dorsey is the backup C. He may not be as good as Okafor or even Jermaine O'Neal in a vacuum, but he doesn't have a history of injuries and unlike those old vets, he can play at the pace the Rockets want to play at. I honestly think he'll be serviceable.

we need about 18-19 for preseason

C - Howard, Dorsey, Capela
PF - Jones, Motiejunas, Adrien
SF - Ariza, Gee, Covington
SG - Harden, Daniels, Johnson, Hopson
PG - Beverley, Canaan, Smith

we have 16 now

He is no center at least not right now. Really thought he was a SF. I think they should send him overseas for a year to get some seasoning.

Guys like Gee, Johnson, and Capela are all probably going to stay down in the D league for the next year or so. 2014 D League champs fosho

I am of Swiss lineage; therefore Clint Capela is my new favorite Rocket! He takes over for Omer.

Why send him to the Vipers? Let him compete with Dorsey.

Side note, is Parsons the only Morey draftee never to play for the RGV? I know Brooks, Landry, Jones, DMo, Morris. PPat, White, Taylor, Canaan, Dorsey. They all played there. Not sure about Chase Budinger.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

This. I have never been a big fan of sending rookies to the D-league. Yes, i know there is a benefit to having them get minutes, but they would learn the same with the team.

Nah Parsons backed up Bud for the first 7 games of his rookie season then took over as starter in his 8th game with his first start coming against Durant. His first start he shot only 1 for 6 and 2 points but he got 8 rebounds, 3 steals , 3 assists and 1 block.

He looked so different back then with the acne and bad hair cut.

True, but most rookies get to play actual NBA minutes right out the gate. Not Rockets rookies. I think it just robs the players and the fans out of the rookie experience. I say let them run in the big league first to see how the play. As long as they are not losing games for us, why not. I'm not saying let them start, just let them get their feet wet.

Yes Horry started his first games. They were back-to-back regular season games in Yokohama, Japan vs Sonics. Matt Bullard actually started those first 2 games because Otis Thorpe was hurt but when they got back to the U.S. Rudy started Carl Herrera instead of Bullard until Thorpe got back.

Well his rookie year was the year of the lockout so he played in Europe before the season resumed, so that was better experience than D-League.
